I have a confession to make... This is the second adult romance novel I've read by Sophie Jordan. I am more a fan of her young adult novels, but figured I give this one a try since I do love me some sexy time books.
I was not disappointed! I was curious to see how Sophie Jordan would pull this romance off. After all, Knox is in jail, totally off limits. Briar, the main female character, gets hired as a nurse in the jail. They meet on her first day due to a fight, and Briar learns quick just how scary Knox is and how he will do whatever he must to survive in there. I asked myself a hundred times, how is she going to pull this off? How will she bring them together? I was so hooked! Emotions were all over the place! This story had my emotions up and down. I was mad, giddy, blushing, heartbroken, every emotion you could think of!
In the end, I loved both Knox and Briar and rooted for them from chapter one till the very end. I think Sophie Jordan pieced this story together really well, and delivered yet another great romance that will give you butterflies in your tummy with every turning page.
The next in the series, HELL BREAKS LOOSE, is going to be another interesting story. The way things played out towards the end of ALL CHAINED UP, I MUST read it!
By the way, have you seen the cover? It's my favorite so far! I cannot wait for Reid's story!
