WINNER: DEBZ

Hey GCReaders!

CHECK IT OUT!

Second Star goes on sale May 13, 2014.
A twisty story about love, loss, and lies, this contemporary oceanside adventure is tinged with a touch of dark magic as it follows seventeen-year-old Wendy Darling on a search for her missing surfer brothers. Wendy’s journey leads her to a mysterious hidden cove inhabited by a tribe of young renegade surfers, most of them runaways like her brothers. Wendy is instantly drawn to the cove’s charismatic leader, Pete, but her search also points her toward Pete's nemesis, the drug-dealing Jas. Enigmatic, dangerous, and handsome, Jas pulls Wendy in even as she's falling hard for Pete. A radical reinvention of a classic, Second Star is an irresistible summer romance about two young men who have yet to grow up--and the troubled beauty trapped between them.

  1. I love how soft and dream like it is (totally fits Neverland) and how it captures both the Peter Pan and surfing inspirations the novel has going on in the synopsis. Really pretty! *fingers crossed I win* email - aglassofwineblog@gmail.com

  4. Wow holy crap this books sounds phenomenal! Peter Pan is an all time favourite story of mine and this re-imagining of it sounds so original and intriguing! The cover is gorgeous too. The colours are soft and muted, and I love that the title and some of the rest of it is a little blurry too. It feels very magical and full of promise.

This has gotten me so excited now! Thanks so so much for this amazing giveaway!

  5. Very cool cover! I love all the lens flares and how they make it look like there's one big one and then a smaller second one to the right - very, very Neverland-y! :D

  6. The PS is very good and detailed. The flowing blue water creates a great mystical feel. The light shining upon them is like a halo. It gives the reader the feeling of a dreamlike world. The characters are in their own little world, nothing could ever penetrate their love for each other and their world. The cover really depicts the story really well. It is very different from other covers I have seen. It is very unique. I love it!

  22. I love the cover! The colours and the title just draw you in. I like the models in it too and how they're in the water looking at something far away, but I love how it doesn't take away too much attention from the title, which to me, is a selling point when buying a book. I always go for something simple buy draws my eye, and this whole book fits the criteria! I'm sooooo putting this book on my TBR list! thelovelygraceblogs@hotmail.com

  23. I love this cover for several reasons: the colour, the title and it's ability to draw you in! I love the colour, the title of the book is big and you automatically know who the author is. I also like how the cover models just work with the title and everything else. You see those covers with a models face and mini font for the author's name & book title? You don't see that here, and I like it. There's something attractive and visually appealing about this book, and I think it's simplicity is the key! This is TOTALLY going on my TBR list on Goodreads!

  24. At first glance this cover gives a hint of Blue Lagoon plus a little bit of Romeo and Juliet. After reading the synopsis, this cover makes a great illustration of teens being swept up by love, loss and adventure. Very youthful looking, therefore a fitting nod to a Peter Pan tribute. Bravo!

  25. I love when modern twists are put on old classics- Like Tiger Lily, the story of Peter Pan from tinkerbelle's POV. This cover is lovely. It has a dreamy quality, serene and soft, but with a definite something on the horizon. Could be a wave, could be a kiss. I can't wait to read this one!
