The Vincent Boys by Abbi Glines
Kindle Edition
Published October 21st 2011
Being the good girl isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. Ashton Gray has grown weary of playing the part to please her parents, and to be worthy of the town’s prince charming, Sawyer Vincent. Maybe That’s why she’s found herself spending time with Sawyer’s cousin, Beau, while he’s away for the summer camping with his family. Beau is nothing like her perfect boyfriend. He’s the sexiest guy she’s ever seen, dangerous in ways she’s only day dreamed about, and the one guy she should stay away from.
Beau never envied Sawyer his loving parents, his big nice home, or his position as quarterback. He loves him like a brother. Which is why he's tried everything in his power to keep his distance from Sawyer’s girlfriend. Even if he has loved her since the age of five, Ashton is Sawyer’s girl, so therefore she’s off limits. But when Sawyer leaves for the summer, Ashton, the one girl Beau would move Heaven and Earth for, decides she wants to get into trouble. Stabbing the one person who’s always accepted him and stood by him in the back, is the cost of finally holding Ashton Gray in his arms. Is she worth losing his cousin over?.... Hell Yeah.
It really sucks when you have to pretend to be somebody you’re not. Ashton is trying so hard to be Ms. Perfect. Everything has to go a certain way and she has to say certain things, or else people might get the wrong impression of her. She even has the super handsome and perfect boyfriend, Sawyer. The boy every girl dreams of being with and the one who never gets into trouble and just seems flawless. But then she begins to feel a bit bored with it all. She wants a little excitement in her life.
When Sawyer leaves town for a while, Ashton begins to spend a lot of time with his cousin and her ex-friend Beau. She can’t help but feel this pull towards him. Beau isn’t really the type of guy a girl should get involved with, but that doesn’t stop Ashton’s feelings from growing. She’s known Beau and Sawyer since they were little, but never in a million years did she think she would look at Beau as more than a friend. They reminisce about the times when they were little, and soon things just get really hot and heavy between the two. And I mean hot and heavy!
I loved this book! It was yet another book that kept me up all night until I read the last word. The characters are so much fun and very easy to fall in love with. From the very first page I knew I would love Ashton. She was very relatable and everything she went through, it was like I was going through it with her. My heart broke with her when she it came down to a decision. I think Abbi Glines did a great job piecing the story together. Everything flowed very smoothly and the outcome was just perfect! It was unpredictable and that is one of the things I loved most. One minute I thought I knew how things would go, the next it took a turn. It was also very touching at times. Not just with Ashton, but with Sawyer and Beau. They go through a lot because of Ashton’s mistake, but if it never happened then things wouldn’t have played out the way that it did. You definitely have to read to understand what I am talking about.
The Vincent Boys is a story about friendships, family, trust, betrayal, and love. It has a bit of everything that will leave you craving more of the sexy Vincent boys. I loved it and recommend this book!
