This Saturday we'd like to share FIVE pieces of news for you....it's been a busy week...
HUGE OPENING DAY FOR FINAL INHERITANCE NOVEL!
The final novel in Christopher Paolini's Inheritance novels hit bookstores this past Tuesday, November 8th, with a big bang! On it's first day of release, the fantasy-genre novel sold nearly 500,000 copies!
Last year, the third book in the series, Brisingr, had an opening day with 550,000 copies being sold, so this was a little less. But a RandomHouse spokesperson attributes the decline to the recent closing of Borders bookstores.
As of Friday afternoon, Inheritance holds the No. 1 spot on Amazon's bestseller list - giving the biography of Steve Jobs a shove into No. 2.
I bought my copy on opening day - it's SO good! If you haven't started this series - do it now!!! LOL
LITTLE, BROWN AND COMPANY RECALLS BOOKS
On Tuesday, November 8th, 2011, Little, Brown and Company recalled the book Assassin of Secrets by Q.R. Markham from store shelves and asked anyone who bought a copy to return it to stores for a full refund.
Why, you ask?
Because it has been discovered that numerous passages had allegedly been taken from other sources. Previously, Markham had signed a 2-book deal, but the second book has now been cancelled.

RUMORED: JAKE ABEL TO STAR IN STEPHANIE MYER'S THE HOST!
Right now it looks like Jake Abel is the frontrunner to take the lead role in the movie adapation of Stephanie Myer's The Host.
Abel has appeared in The Lovely Bones, I Am Number 4 and Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief (all fantastic movies!!)
And let the hotness begin, lol....
November is National Novel Writing Month!!
There's still time left! NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month!!) is a fiction writing contest open to all writers and all genres of fiction. The catch - you must write a 50,000 word novel in just the 30 days in November.
NaNoWriMo is now in it's 13th year and has a record number of participants. Last year, there were 200,500 registered at the site, and of them, 37,500 people actually finished their novels.
The girls of GoodChoiceReading are participating this year (wish us luck!) and it's be great if you all could join in too! As the creator of NaNoWriMo says, "All you have to do is sit down and write".
