Poll: What are some of the books you've read this summer?

So I know August is right around the corner and we all know what that means right? Summer will be coming to an end and Fall will be taking its place.

We are planning to do an End of The Summer giveaway and were just wondering...

What are some of the books you've read (or you're dying to read) this summer that were SO good and are a MUST READ?

Ya never know, we might just add them to our list! hehe

  1. There are so many great books that came out this summer! I think the one I'm most excited about since I haven't gotten to read it yet, is Forget You by Jennifer Echols.

  2. I read Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver. It was amazing! As was The Iron King by Julie Kagawa!

  3. I've read so many it would take too much room and time to list. I will mention Darkest Passion, Raised By Wolves, Linger, Ecstasy Unveiled and many more. Will be reading The Darkest Lie soon.

  4. Read: Iron King and Iron Daughter, Hunger, God is in the pancakes, 13 to life, Looking for Alaska, Crescendo, Scars, second short life of bree tanner, Tyger Tyger, Change of heart

Want to get my hands on: Torment, Clockwork Angels, Girl next Door, Blindsided, Almost to Die for, Sleepless, Book of Love, Crave, My invisible boyfriend, Stork, Second Hand Heart, Wicked Girls, Mockingbirds, The Mark Bunderson, A Blue so Dark, Delcroix Academy, Tell me a Secret, High before Homeroom, Outside of a horse, Numbers 2, Wereling, Dead Beautiful, Angel Star, Birthmarked, Betrayal, and Forget-her-nots

What I'm dying to read it "You Wish", "Crescendo", "The Thirteenth Chime", "Mockingjay" and sooo many more.

  8. @Katrina, you named about 5 books I am dying to get my hands on!!!! lol

  9. Lily Gayle's modern day paranormal romance, OUT OF THE DARKNESS is the best book I've read this summer. Vincent Maxwell is a vampire who wants to be human again and discovers that Dr. Megan Harper has discovered a possible cure to vampirism, so he worms his way into her research and into her heart as well. Can a vampire and a mortal find a way to blend their lives and in the process find happiness together?
The plot turns, the familiar settings and the sexual scenes between Megan and Vincent were a fantastic, a can't put down read and the surprising ending was superb with supporting characters such as a compelling vixon (Sonia), and a best friend (Tina). Of course, as an added attraction there were very chilling villains.
OUT OF THE DARKNESS is Lilly Gayle's first novel, but I'm sure there will be many more entertaining novels in the future.

  10. Mockingjay by Suzanne Colline (8/24) and Dead in the Family by Charlaine Harris...it came out in May.

  11. My favorite books this year all came from Twitter/Blog recommendations. I would have never EVER picked out these books myself, since they're not paranormal romance (my preferred genre). And the three which came out on top were: Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, Mind Games by Carolyn Crane, and Comfort Food by Kitty Thomas.

Another blog recommendation I have in my possession but haven't tried is Shiver by Maggie Stievater. It came in last week, my daughter claimed it for herself. She finished on Sunday and said it was just a good as Hunger Games, which she voted the best book she'd read this year. That was until Shiver. Now I guess it's a tie. :) But before I get to Linger, I want to read City of Bones, which is also in my possession. My daughter said that was her favorite read last year and even better than Hunger Games!

  12. WOW so many good books. I am looking up the ones we have not read now lol

  13. Just finished Water Bound by Christine Feehan (been waiting all summer) and loved it! I have to say that otherwise I am going to spend the rest of the summer catching up on old reads I think!

  14. Definitely The Girl Who Chased the Moon by Sarah Addison Allen. Girl in Translation by Jean Kwok is also a must read!

  15. So far this summer i have read
    Perchance to Dream: Lisa Manchev
    Clockwork Angel: Cassandra Clare
    The first Sookie Book
The Darkest Powers Series: Kelley Armstrong
    Percy Jackson Series
    Hex Hall
Those are the ones that i can remember i know there was more

  16. Fragile Eternity & Radiant Shadows by Melissa Marr You Suck by Christopher Moore
Evermore & Blue Moon by Alyson Noel
    Hush Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick
Dark Lover & Lover Eternal by J. R. Ward
    Fallen by Lauren Kate
