Poll: What are some of the books you've read this summer?

So I know August is right around the corner and we all know what that means right? Summer will be coming to an end and Fall will be taking its place.

We are planning to do an End of The Summer giveaway and were just wondering...

What are some of the books you've read (or you're dying to read) this summer that were SO good and are a MUST READ?

Ya never know, we might just add them to our list! hehe

  1. There are so many great books that came out this summer! I think the one I'm most excited about since I haven't gotten to read it yet, is Forget You by Jennifer Echols.

  9. Lily Gayle's modern day paranormal romance, OUT OF THE DARKNESS is the best book I've read this summer. Vincent Maxwell is a vampire who wants to be human again and discovers that Dr. Megan Harper has discovered a possible cure to vampirism, so he worms his way into her research and into her heart as well. Can a vampire and a mortal find a way to blend their lives and in the process find happiness together?
The plot turns, the familiar settings and the sexual scenes between Megan and Vincent were a fantastic, a can't put down read and the surprising ending was superb with supporting characters such as a compelling vixon (Sonia), and a best friend (Tina). Of course, as an added attraction there were very chilling villains.
OUT OF THE DARKNESS is Lilly Gayle's first novel, but I'm sure there will be many more entertaining novels in the future.

  11. My favorite books this year all came from Twitter/Blog recommendations. I would have never EVER picked out these books myself, since they're not paranormal romance (my preferred genre). And the three which came out on top were: Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, Mind Games by Carolyn Crane, and Comfort Food by Kitty Thomas.

Another blog recommendation I have in my possession but haven't tried is Shiver by Maggie Stievater. It came in last week, my daughter claimed it for herself. She finished on Sunday and said it was just a good as Hunger Games, which she voted the best book she'd read this year. That was until Shiver. Now I guess it's a tie. :) But before I get to Linger, I want to read City of Bones, which is also in my possession. My daughter said that was her favorite read last year and even better than Hunger Games!
