Imagine that your husband wrote you a letter, to be opened after his death. Imagine, too, that the letter contains his deepest, darkest secret—something with the potential to destroy not just the life you built together, but the lives of others as well. Imagine, then, that you stumble across that letter while your husband is still very much alive. . . . Cecilia Fitzpatrick has achieved it all—she’s an incredibly successful businesswoman, a pillar of her small community, and a devoted wife and mother. Her life is as orderly and spotless as her home. But that letter is about to change everything, and not just for her: Rachel and Tess barely know Cecilia—or each other—but they too are about to feel the earth-shattering repercussions of her husband’s secret. Acclaimed author Liane Moriarty has written a gripping, thought-provoking novel about how well it is really possible to know our spouses—and, ultimately, ourselves.

I don't think there is a single book that Liane Moriarty can write that I will not fall in love with, and The Husband's Secret was no exception. I literally could not put it down. At one point -- and I kid you not -- I woke up in the dead of night and couldn't fall back to sleep without reading! I just had to find out what the husband's secret was, and it was well worth the lack of sleep.

I think what I love the most about Moriarty is that she creates these characters that are so relatable, you feel like they could be your sister, or your husband, or even yourself. And you watch these's characters go through these life-altering revelations and it breaks your heart...and it makes you laugh...and it makes you cheer...and by the time you're through, you've realized you've gone through a veritable rainbow of emotions. You wonder what you, yourself, would do in those same situations, and you wonder whether you could be as strong.

The Husband's Secret is full of twists and turns that you never see coming. It's full of sadness, happiness, and...plain old life. Life, with all it's relationships, love, and drama.

I adored this book and I hope you will too!

5 out of 5 stars.
