Make sure to stop by the following blogs to read their thoughts!

This week we are sharing our thoughts on The Winner's Curse - Chapters 20-29.

As a general's daughter in a vast empire that revels in war and enslaves those it conquers, seventeen-year-old Kestrel has two choices: she can join the military or get married. But Kestrel has other intentions. One day, she is startled to find a kindred spirit in a young slave up for auction. Arin's eyes seem to defy everything and everyone. Following her instinct, Kestrel buys him'with unexpected consequences. It's not long before she has to hide her growing love for Arin. But he, too, has a secret, and Kestrel quickly learns that the price she paid for a fellow human is much higher than she ever could have imagined.

Set in a richly imagined new world, The Winner's Curse is a story of deadly games where everything is at stake, and the gamble is whether you will keep your head or lose your heart.

My random thoughts & emotions on these chapters....

- Things are getting good! Kestrel and Arin's friendship is growing, and everyone around them is noticing. Talk about falling for her slave is the last thing she needs!

- The emotions!!!! Marie Rutkoski knows how to get under a readers skin with just a couple of words!

- I love how their friendship slowly turns into more, but isn't at the same time. You definitely have to read to get what I am talking about! THE EMOTIONS!!

- Kestrel is so bad ass and BRILLIANT!

- Dang.... rumor reached her fathers ears, and he isn't happy!

- Seriously? I want to scream right now!

- Um, I am in love!

Teaser:

Then, quickly, he said, "I can do it."
"What?"
"I could braid your hair."
"You?"
"Yes."

Ah! The Emotions!

I want to go into more detail about these chapters, but I can't because things are so good, and I will probably spoil any little secret for you all. I have butterflies in my tummy right now.

The end. I can't talk anymore. LOL!

Next week we finish the final chapters! Be sure to check back!
