Okay, so I’ll start by saying that I’ve read the first two books in this series, and I enjoyed them. The last book we were left hanging over the edge of a huge friggin cliff. I couldn’t wait to finish this story.

We get all the usual character’s in this installment. Allison is still trying to find a way to save her mother, now more than ever since Liam was lost when a cave collapsed . She feels hopeless. Aiofe is back, with her usual mischief. Niahm and Aodhan are still trying to work out their issues. And the beloved Ethan is still very much in the picture. When Aiofe brings some information to light, and threatens to hurt everyone Allison loves, she has no choice but to meet the demands of the demented Tuthua. I mean, that lady is coo-coo banana pants. I love how Ethan is always supporting Allison, as well as the connection Niahm and Allison seem to have. Niah is so perceptive, there isn’t much Allison can hide from her.

The only real issue I had with the book, is that we barely got a blip of information about Allison’s mom and Liam after all was said and done. I mean, wasn’t that really the whole point of the series? For Allison to help her mother? I felt that explanation was a bit rushed, and I wasn’t satisfied with it. For the most part, I did enjoy the final book in the series. As I said, I would have liked a little more information regarding the after relationship between Liam and Allison’s mom, but I was okay with the way the story ended.

About Laura

Laura Howard lives in New Hampshire with her husband and four children. Her obsession with books began at the age of 6 when she got her first library card. Nancy Drew, Sweet Valley High and other girly novels were routinely devoured in single sittings. Books took a backseat to diapers when she had her first child. It wasn’t until the release of a little novel called Twilight, 8 years later, that she rediscovered her love of fiction. Soon after, her own characters began to make themselves known. The Forgotten Ones is her first published novel.
