Guest Post: Misunderstandings by Tiffany King

Just when she thought things were going up…

Two years after a devastating breakup, Brittni Mitchell has moved on from Justin Avery—or so she tells herself. But when she returns to Seattle for her best friend’s engagement party, Brittni finds herself the victim of a disastrously timed elevator breakdown. She’s trapped with the last person she wants to face, and forced to recount the past she desperately wants to forget.

She’s going to have to look back…

When Brittni left her podunk hometown for a big city college experience at the University of Washington, hooking up with a guy like Justin Avery was not part of her plan. Between Justin’s attention-grabbing tattoos, cigarette smoking, and bad boy attitude Brittni quickly chalked him up as “Mr. Wrong.” But his charm was unrelenting, and Brittni’s decision to give Justin a chance quickly turned into the worst choice she ever made.

So that she might be able to move forward.

Now she’s stuck with Justin—literally—and the complicated web of misunderstandings that tied up the truth for two years is about to unravel.

My dream cast for the Misunderstandings movie

By Tiffany King
USA Today Bestselling Author

I can't tell you how excited I am for the release of Misunderstandings. I've been on pins and needles for nearly a year. This is my wish upon a star moment. I'm sure every author feels the same, seeing the culmination of months of hard work sitting on the bookstore shelves. Another dream is the idea of your story being made into a movie. Anytime I'm writing, I like to imagine which actors would play the main characters. It helps to have that mental picture in my head. Misunderstandings was no different. So, if any of the following talented people happen to run across this post, consider this an offer.

Oh, Allison. Don't be so modest. You are absolutely fabulous on the TV show, Girls. If anyone can pull off Brittni's quiet confidence combined with a hint of vulnerability, it's you.

Justin, you goof. I wasn't expecting this kind of reaction. Oh, hi Taylor Swift. Anyway, Justin, what don't you do well. Maybe you can even do a song or two for the soundtrack. It's a win-win.

 Melissa-
Brittany Snow

Brittany, don't cry. I'm beginning to choke up myself. This is a happy day. Melissa is funny, vibrant and energetic. You got this.

I know you're disappointed you didn't get offered the starring role, but we're not saying you're not handsome, not worthy. It's just, come on, we got JT

Hey, Justin. You're not helping. I got this under control. You two play nice.

Tressa-
Kat Dennings

Ha! You go girl with the attitude. That is so Tressa. I love it!

I have to admit. I wasn't expecting these reactions. Some of you were a little more modest than others. JT, it's okay, we forgive you. If anyone has any other suggestions, I'm all ears. Enjoy Misunderstandings.
