Despite what her name might suggest, Heart has zero interest in complicated romance. So when her brilliant plan to go to prom with a group of friends is disrupted by two surprise invites, Heart knows there's only one drama-free solution: flip a coin.

Heads: The jock. He might spend all night staring at his ex or throw up in the limo, but how bad can her brother's best friend really be?

Tails: The theater geek...with a secret. What could be better than a guy who shares all Heart's interests--even if he wants to share all his feelings?

Heart's simple coin flip has somehow given her the chance to live out both dates. But where her prom night ends up might be the most surprising thing of all...

Your high school prom...junior or senior, have you ever thought about your decision for one of the most memorable nights in your life?

Ask Again Later was a hard start but I insisted that I keep reading because my instinct told me that there was adventure ahead!

For Heart LeCouer, high school junior, her plan is to attend prom with a group of friends calling themselves the No Drama Prom-a, wear a great vintage dress and have the time of her life; until she gets two more possibilities, one by her brother, a high school senior, to accompany his friend (Troy)who has just been dumped by his long time girlfriend; and another by a friend from the drama department (Ryan). This posed a tough decision for Heart because she will be changing a plan that she was trying so hard to stick with from what seemed like the beginning of high school.

Heart consults with a friend about this dilemma and decides that she will flip a coin to make a choice, giving each date a side of the coin. Through this decision she goes through each scenario throughout the rest of the book...

Flip a coin Heads was Troy (her brother's friend), Tails was Ryan (Drama department friend).

While playing out the scenarios through the remainder of the story, choosing Heads carries her through a night of endless mishaps and disasters. Whereas choosing Tails carries her through a mishap or two but she enjoys herself with Ryan and her friends all night. I can't say anymore ;-)!

As I read this story it reminded me a lot of my high school proms. My junior prom I went with a then friend and wore an awesome dress but he wasn't liked much by my other friends which made it a bit difficult but I did have fun just the same and I stayed all night!

My senior prom I helped plan, again wore an awesome dress but my date was bored so we stayed for dinner then we left...I was asked by my then best friend if I wanted to go with her and a few other people in a group and I said no...I regret it every bit to this day! What I wouldn't give to have the opportunity to do it all over again.

Overall I loved this book, kudos for Liz Czukas for a job well done on her first novel! I would love to see more from her soon.

Drum Roll please – out of 5 stars, I give Ask Again Later 4 stars!
