#TXLA13 -- Mini Recap!

Hey GCReaders!

I am finally home! I attended the Texas Library Association at the Fort Worth Convention Center. I had a great time, discovered so many new books coming out this year, met so many of my favorite authors, mingled with publishers, and met some amazing bloggers.

I also got to hang out with my blogger buddies, Yara @ Once Upon A Twilight, Trini @ A Book Lovers Review, Jenna @ An Avid Readers Musings, Krystal @ Live To Read, WastePaperProse, Page Turners blog, and even some new blogger buddies who were super sweet and fun to chat with, Alex @ Peace Love and Fangirl, and Marissa & Jasmine @ Beneath The Moon and The Stars. It was so nice hanging you ladies! :)

This was my first time attending TXLA and I am definitely returning next year. The staff was wonderful, the layout was so easy to follow, and it wasn't as crazy as BEA. LOL! Although, the Harper booth was a mad house the second day of the convention. You could barely walk!

I didn't get very much sight seeing done because it felt like the whole town was under construction. We did get to visit Medieval Times our first night there and some local restaurants, but nothing big. I would have liked to sight see, but we didn't.

We did eat at this place called Texas Roadhouse which was in walking distance of our hotel and that place was awesome! The food was amazing, our waiter was hilarious and super nice. The whole environment of the place was great. You can actually eat peanuts and throw the shell on the floor. When I first walked in I was a bit worried because the floor was covered in shells, but once they explained why, we joined in and ate tons of peanuts! :0)

I had really did enjoy my time in Texas and hope to do it again next year. Only bad part is I had to ship all of my books home. Was costly, but now I know once they start arriving this week I will be super excited!

There are so many books coming out this year, but below are the ones I am super excited about and cannot wait to read.

These are just some of the books we got at TXLA. There are so many, but these were my must read.
I have tons of reading ahead of me! Woohoo! LOL!

What are your must reads for 2013?
