Ella and Micha have been best friends since they were kids. But one tragic night shatters their friendship and their lives forever.

Ella used to be a rule-breaker with fiery attitude who wore her heart on her sleeve. But she left everything behind when she went to college and transformed into someone that follows the rules, keeps everything together, and hides all her problems. But now it's summer break and she has nowhere else to go but home.

Ella fears everything she worked so hard to bury might resurface, especially with Micha living right next door. If Micha tries to tempt the old her back, she knows that it will be hard to resist.

Micha is sexy, smart, confident, and can get under Ella’s skin like no one else can. He knows everything about her, including her darkest secrets. And he’s determined to bring his best friend, and the girl he loves back, no matter what it takes.

(New Adult Contemporary) *Mature Content** Recommended for ages 17+ due to sexual situations and language.

         My Review:

This is my second read of Jessica Sorensen and I have to say, I am definitely a fan of her writing. Her books are well paced and her character development is amazing. There's no instant love, which is great. And she takes her time with subjects at hand. She doesn't rush into her story and she sucks you right in. You can tell writing is her passion , her book ratings proves it. And to sell this book to you even further, this book is on the Top 100 Amazon's Best Seller's List. Now that speaks volumes. This book and "The Coincidence of Callie & Kayden" is on Amazon's Top 100. These two books are simply amazing!

"The Secret of Ella & Micha" is about a girl who basically had enough of her life back at home and went of to college to start a new one. But let's be honest, you can never hide your true self. And that's what happened when she went back home, she had a hard time keeping up with her "Good Girl" act. But as much as I understand Ella for doing what she did, I have to wonder how she can leave someone like Micha behind? Like "Hello?! Are you out of your mind?!" The guy loves her. Like he truly loves her. He's so gentle and sweet with her. He's MY book boyfriend. That's it! I'm claiming him!

Sorensen's characters are all well developed as I said earlier. I absolutely LOVE the history between Ella & Micha. They basically have been best friends since childhood so it's easy to see them fall in love. I absolutely LOVE their chemistry. I love his Micha how knew just how much to press Ella and when to back off. And even though she left and abandoned (in my opinion) him, he still continued to love her. If that isn't love then what is. I can't get enough of these two characters. So I'm waiting impatiently for the sequel which is called "The Forever of Ella & Micha".

Once again, this book was awesome. I have to congratulate Jessica Sorensen because Grand Central Publishing picked up this series. So we're probably going to have to wait longer to get the sequel, so boo to that. But this series deserves to get picked up. I don't think I need to continue to tell you how much I love this book. I give this "The Secret of Ella & Micha"  5/5 stars and a definite must buy and a definite Good Choice for Reading!!

  1. Sweet story. Very good characters. This is a great book for anyone who likes love stories. I like the way they show how complicated we make relationships for ourselves.
