Interview with author of Holiday Affair, Anne Seaton!

Staid professor Lissy McIntyre believes that choosing a mate should be based on common sense, not runaway passion. And she would certainly never pick a rolling stone like Nick Richards for long-term love. But a red-hot, tropical romance? Oh, yeah. He’s got a body just made for sinning and his sizzling kisses leave her senseless.

When Nick blows into town, he’s stunned to discover that his no-nonsense new neighbor and co-worker is the same sultry creature he seduced for one night of forbidden island pleasure. He’s unaccustomed to staying in one place for long, but he just can’t seem to keep his hands off the multi-faceted woman. Will Nick break loyal Lissy’s heart or will she be the one woman he simply can’t walk away from?

Tell us a little about yourself and your latest/upcoming release.

I live on the beautiful east coast of Australia, and I love sitting in my writing chair, gazing at the ocean and writing stories. I have always been fascinated by all things historical and have found my niche writing romance, ranging from contemporary, paranormal and a foray into steampunk, where strong heroines and brooding heroes fight together to make their alternative world a better place!

My debut full length novel, Holiday Affair, a contemporary romance set in the South Pacific was released as part of Entangled Publishing’s Indulgence line in March and has been a best seller on both Amazon and Barnes and Noble. The sequel Italian Affair is currently in edits. Watch out for the story of Tom and Brianna, the sex therapist who spices up his life! Outback Affair will follow soon after.

Winter of the Passion Flower was released early in 2012. I thoroughly enjoyed researching and writing about Indigo and Zane.

Book 2-Summer of the Moon Flower will be released in three instalments, like the old fashioned serials we used to love. A short read for a busy person!

Watch out for the adventures of Sofia and her Scottish laird, I am already looking forward to the rest of the series, particularly the adventures of Indigo’s four boys: Jago and Jory, Ruan and Kit. Strong sassy heroines and rebellious heroes have a rollicking good time as they work to make the world a better place--albeit their own steampunk world.

Blind Lust, a paranormal novella was released in June 2012 and a sequel is under way.

What's the one piece of technology you can't live without?

Everything! I can’t reduce it to one piece. On a recent trip to the United States I had to choose which piece to take. Too hard! So I had my iPhone, my laptop, my iPad and my kindle! I was ready for everything! And I’m pleased to say I used them all!

What's your favorite thing to do when you're not writing?

You will find me in one of three places, depending on the time of day. Early in the morning, I will be walking the beach. Later in the morning and in the late afternoon, I will be tending my wonderful flower and vegetable garden (you can see photos of my flowers on my blog!)After finishing all of that as well as my writing for the day, I can be found watching the sun set from my back deck with a glass of wine in my hand!

Describe yourself in 3 words.

Driven, determined, impatient.

Do you have a book in your house that's just destroyed because you've read it so much?

I have three copies of my favorite book of all time…in case I lose one. Katherine by Anya Seton is a historical novel about John of Gaunt and Katherine Swynford. My falling to pieces book is a hard cover copy of Mary Stewart’s Crystal Cave which my parents gave me for Christmas in 1968.

If you could meet anyone and spend an hour with them alive or dead who and why?

I would LOVE to meet David Bowie. I have followed and been inspired by his music since the seventies.

How many times were you turned down form a book offer before you finally got published?

Ah…none. My first submission was offered three contracts n the first week. I was happy dancing for a few months after that!

Do you think they regret turning you down now?

The only rejection I have had was from a publisher who shall remain nameless. It was for Holiday Affair which went on to become a best seller! So maybe they do…
