Harper News / Divergent Book 3! / Beautiful Covers

This Saturday we'd like to share three pieces of news for you....

On November 26, HarperCollins Publishers announced the launch of HarperTeen Impulse, a digital imprint focusing on Y.A. short stories and novellas. The new imprint will publish short-form works from new and established authors, providing original and exciting new teen books across a wide variety of genres.

The new imprint will publish between 1-4 titles a month, all of which will go on sale on the first Tuesday of that month -- "Impulse Tuesday".

The first titles will go on sale this Tuesday, December 4! They will include Breathless by Sophie Jordan, Stupid Perfect World by Scott Westerfeld, Cruisin' by Sarah Mlynowski and Radiant by Cynthia Hand. The titles will be available at all e-book retailers and range from 99 cents to $2.99. A report released on Friday, announced that Pearson Plc (PSON) is in talks to combine its Penguin book-publishing unit with Bertelsmann SE's Random House. This merger would be in response to a surge in providers of electronic books.

Will You Buy Any of These Titles?

DIVERGENT 3! released a photo of the rough draft of the 3rd book in the Divergent series by Veronica Roth. Look At The Size Of That Thing!
