This Thursday, I want it to be all about...COOKBOOKS (hey, a book is a book)
Believe it or not, my favorite cookbook in the world right now is this tiny paperback one sent to me from Jiffy (you know, Jiffy, those cake mixes in the little blue box). You'd be so surprised at how many recipes they can fit in there! Have I made any of them....not yet, LOL, but I will...one of these days :)
Thursday's Question of the Day: Do You Have a Favorite Cookbook? Have You Actually Made Anything From It?
LET ME KNOW!!
I don't have a favorite but I do have recipes from most of my cookbooks that I love. I just found a copy of a Rachel Ray cookbook at the used book store and have made one out of it that have been really good. They are suppose to be 30 minute meals but half the time it takes me 30 minutes to chop up the ingredients, my knife skills must be lacking.
ReplyDeleteSouthern Living. I actually have several and cook from them all the time. I love to try new things.
ReplyDeleteI have Celiac disease, so I eat gluten free. Whenever I find GF cookbooks or recipes I snatch them up immediately. I love finding new and yummy recipes! :)
ReplyDeleteI don't have a fav cookbook, but I do use the recipe ideas on the back of the Bisquick box:) My sister has a dessert cookbook that she likes to use.
ReplyDeleteHaving recently found out I had soy and lactose intolerance and reflux, I've started getting cookbooks/nutrition books on that. The small Lactose free one I got has good tasting recipes, but I wouldn't consider it a favorite. I'm not sure I have a favorite, but I was oh so glad when Gordon Ramsey's British Pub Food was available on the Nook (Out of print in the US). I mean to try the Scotch Egg recipe and Cornish pasty one.
ReplyDeleteI do have a favorite cookbook. :) It was one I helped put together in a cooking class i took in high school. I did most of the work to the book but I did have help with stuff. It will always be my favorite cookbook too. ;-) I do try new recipes but usually I google or i type into all recipes.
