Blog Tour: Empyreal Fate by Rachel Hunter - Guest Post!

6 Words for Empyreal Fate:

Elves – The elves of Androth are elegant beings: regal, majestic. Amarya is the elven royalblood who finds divinity in all things. Indeed, as Nature’s child, she is attuned to the breath of celestial creation, as are all the elves within her kingdom – a city amidst the Forest Illex.

Laymeurs – Purple flowers within the Forest Illex; birthplace of the fairykin (and home of Narcissamynewye – or ‘Nisse’, for short). The race of Faire sleep amongst the Laymeur petals, which bloom only in the moon’s fair glow.

Erandor – Kingdom of man; residence of the mortal royalbloods, King Rhothdyn and Queen Saydra. The population is rapidly growing, but due to close borders with the elven enemy, the kingdom cannot expand. Thus, Erandor is marked with starvation and fear. Yet King Rhothdyn’s gnarled fist remains steadfast. He would rather let his people starve, offering pithy accommodations, than try to reason with his elven neighbors.

Nevaeyeh – A curious child; sister of Darrion. Despite her human roots, she exudes an unusual presence, growing at a rapid pace and understanding far more than the normal tot. Her eyes are of opaque crystalline – a hue of mystery swirled within.

Feud – An ancient tension lies between the race of man and elf. Why is this so? What is the history of Daeanu of old? Why does man fear the histories so?

Love – Forbidden love, secret love... A love between human and elf. Betrayal. Danger. Will Fate allow this connection’s existence? Empyreal Fate is an epic romance.

Filled to the brim with forbidden love, an ancient evil, and a nation in disrepair, Empyreal Fate is a tale of riveting bravery and mortal corruption.

The land of Llathala lingers on the brink of war between men and elves, a dark history surrounding each race. Stirred by tensions of the land, a shadow of the past reemerges, taking precedence in reality and consuming the very soul of mans’ mortal weakness. Darrion, the son of a poor laborer, is ensnared in a hostile world, forced to choose between loyalty to his king or the counsel of the elves. Yet Fate has other plans in store, tying his course to Amarya, an elven royalblood of mysterious quality and unsurpassable beauty. But this forbidden connection incites betrayal from members of their own kin, marking them as traitors to the crown. In a land torn asunder, only Fate’s decree can allow such love to coexist with an ancient enmity.

Behold: A Llathalan Annal: Empyreal Fate – Part One.

  1. Empyreal Fate is an amazing book. I haven't seen "YA" in over three decades, and I am also male, but despite the fact I had some difficulty reading it at first, it soon hooked me and I couldn't put it down. It actually drew me into its world, ensnaring me like the dryad creatures mentioned there, holding me captive until I suffocated--but only because the story left me breathless! Truly, though, I was so immersed in the story, I began to have difficulty telling fantasy from reality--until my father, Trossan, would snatch the tome from my hands and tell me to go feed King Rhothdyn's cattle.
Ms. Hunter has received some very favorable reviews on Amazon, one of which is mine.
