Kimberly Derting's Fantastic Announcement!!!
On Thursday, September 15th, Kimberly wrote on her website, The Road to Publication: "The Pledge will, in fact, be the first book of a TRILOGY!!!!"
An announcement on Publisher's Marketplace also stated:
Kimberly Derting's THE PLEDGE series, books 2 and 3, in which a teen girl in an oppressive society, who has a secret ability to speak all languages, meets a mysterious and beautiful teen boy who speaks a language she's never heard, and discovers she is the key to her country's survival, to Ruta Rimas and Justin Chanda at McElderry Books, for publication in Fall 2012 and 2013.

I mean...a gorgeous (semi-chilly) Sunday afternoon at a Book Festival?? What Could be Better?
On page 293 of Susan Andersen's novel, Baby, I'm Yours, the characters are getting hot and heavy in a sex scene. Right in the middle of all the hot and steamy action, you read this:
"He stiffened for a moment but then she felt his muscles loosen as he shitted on the ground."

Ah! Yay about The Pledge! Wish I could go to Brooklyn Festival and ahhahahahhahahah LMFAO at that typo. Are you sure it's a typo?
