The Pledge Announcement, Brooklyn Book Festival and an Epic Typo!,

This Saturday we'd like to share three pieces of news for you....

Kimberly Derting's Fantastic Announcement!!!

So I'm ridiculously excited and happy over this announcement!!

On Thursday, September 15th, Kimberly wrote on her website, The Road to Publication: "The Pledge will, in fact, be the first book of a TRILOGY!!!!"

An announcement on Publisher's Marketplace also stated:

Kimberly Derting's THE PLEDGE series, books 2 and 3, in which a teen girl in an oppressive society, who has a secret ability to speak all languages, meets a mysterious and beautiful teen boy who speaks a language she's never heard, and discovers she is the key to her country's survival, to Ruta Rimas and Justin Chanda at McElderry Books, for publication in Fall 2012 and 2013.

Check out my review of the Pledge here. And GCR Wanda's review here.

Did you all love The Pledge as much as I did???

ATTN New Yorkers! Brooklyn Book Festival this Sunday :)
Started in just 2006, I feel like the Brooklyn Book Festival will be taking over NYC someday!

This festival is the largest free literary event in NYC - and it brings to us a whole new array of emerging authors (many of whom come from Brooklyn themselves).

Click here for a list of all the Festival's events. If you end up going, post a comment and let us know your thoughts!!

I mean...a gorgeous (semi-chilly) Sunday afternoon at a Book Festival?? What Could be Better?

OMG - You Will Laugh Hysterical at This One!

You ever get really into a book and then notice a typo here or there that just drives you crazy? Well...let's just say that you'll be happy you weren't reading this romance novel!

On page 293 of Susan Andersen's novel, Baby, I'm Yours, the characters are getting hot and heavy in a sex scene. Right in the middle of all the hot and steamy action, you read this:

"He stiffened for a moment but then she felt his muscles loosen as he shitted on the ground."

Talk About Your Epic Typos!!! LMAO!

  1. Ah! Yay about The Pledge! Wish I could go to Brooklyn Festival and ahhahahahhahahah LMFAO at that typo. Are you sure it's a typo?

Thank you for stopping by! We love reading your comments and we try to reply back to each comment. So make sure to check back with us.
