DARK DAYS BLOG TOUR: COLD KISS DIRECTORS CUT: Deleted Scene

Hi Everyone!

Today author Amy Garvey is going to share a deleted scene from Cold Kiss. Enjoy!

DELETED SCENE
Two days after the kiss outside the library, Danny texts. “Movie passes. Rialto, 7:30?” It isn’t a bended knee, and I figure it probably means Ryan and maybe Becker will be there, too, but I can’t help myself. I want to see him again. I want to see him somewhere that’s not school, somewhere I can maybe accidentally brush against him, or breathe in the heady, musky boy smell of him.
Apparently I have no shame. At the moment, I don’t care.
But when I get there, he’s alone, leaning against one of the framed posters on the wall outside. He straightens up when he sees me, his mouth sliding into a huge grin. “You came.”
“I did.” My heart thumps when he takes my hand, twining his long fingers through mine. He’s warm and solid and I want to stop time for a second so I can hold onto this moment. “No one else showed?”
He makes a face, huffs out a laugh. “No one else was invited.”
Oh. Heat floods through me, burning on my cheeks. My voice wobbles just enough to make me cringe when I say, “So this is, like, a date?”
He tugs me closer, leans down to whisper in my ear. “Absolutely.”
I’m pretty sure tomorrow I’m not going to remember anything about the movie.
