Raised by the Breed, Nicholas Roman wants to stop the Eternal Order of Vampires from controlling his life, and using other males from his bloodline-including possibly his son-for their vicious reign. Only a beautiful vampire stranger can help him. But what are her true motives?
Having read book one (Eternal Hunger which had a great story line) I expected another great story and when I was done with Eternal Kiss not only was the story line great but I was floored by the emotions.
Eternal Kiss is the story of Nicholas Roman. He is the middle Roman brother and the peace keeper in the Roman house. In his story we discover that though he is the peace keeper in his family he is far from at peace with himself. He finds his match in Kate, who has her own secrets. Their story takes twists and turns which encompass all the inhabitants of the Roman house.
Laura Wright has a way of writing that allowed me to truly be in the story with the characters. She made it possible for me to hear the characters footsteps yet she never spent too much time on descriptions. I also loved that Laura made us spend only a short time with the antagonists. The “bad guys” got page-time only long enough for readers to learn of their intentions. Some authors spend too much time on the antagonists which only makes me skim through those paragraphs. With Eternal Kiss I read every word of it – three times.
This book caught me off guard and it touched my heart. It is an easy read but powerful in that the characters resonate as if real. It made me want to bottle the characters up and protect them from the world.
Next time you’re in the book store pick up Eternal Hunger and Eternal Kiss by the awesome Laura Wright (www.laurawright.com).
