Here is some stuff you didn't know about Lisa:
Have you ever tried to cut your own hair?
Yes, when I was ten years old I decided I wanted my hair to be shorter. So I got a pair of scissors, when into the bathroom, wet my hair then cut it to my shoulders. Its funny because when my mom found out she took me to the salon to have it evened out and the hair dresser barely had to fix it.
What is your dream car?
A black Cadillac Escalade. Its frustrating when I’m out on the road and I see an old lady driving one!
What is your favorite season?
Winter because I hate the summer heat! I complain all summer long that its too hot, my hair is frizzing etc. You can always put on more clothes and blankets, but you can only take so much off.
What do you like to collect?
Well I once had several shoe boxes full of Snapple caps, the ones with the random facts on them. Now I collect fortune cookie sayings, though my friends yell at me because I take the fortune without eating the cookie.
Have you ever had surgery?
If mouth surgery counts, then yes. I have had three painful oral surgeries to get a dental implant. I broke my front tooth when I was in the forth grade, (not going to tell you how because it was dumb and embarrassing) and I had the tooth crowned until I somehow broke that too.
Are you an innie or an outie?
I’m an innie, outie’s totally freak me out. Lol
Have you ever returned a gift?
Yes, once or twice. But in my defense it was only when the gift giver provided me with the receipt and said I could return it if I didn’t like it…
Do you need corrective lenses?
I don’t need them but lately I’ve been thinking about getting colored contacts so I can see what I would look like with blue or brown eyes, since I have green.
Do you sing in the car?
Oh I certainly do! If I’m alone in the car and really into a song, I scream it at the top of my lungs. "Don't stop believing..." hehe
Have you ever fallen asleep in school?
I don’t know why I’m sharing this, but yes I have. When I was in kindergarten I fell asleep at my desk and when I woke up I had peed my pants. Had to go home in my gym clothes and all the kids on the bus were asking me why I was wearing them…mortifying :(
What's your favorite carnival ride?
The carousel because to me that’s the ultimate symbol of a blissful childhood. I could get on it right now and feel like a kid again, just content and carefree!
Do you drink pepsi or coke?
Doesn’t really matter as long as its diet. Regular soda equals unnecessary calories. lol

For my portion of the contest, I couldn't decide which of my favorite books to give away. So I picked 3 books I'm obsessed with and the winner can choose which one they want. Your choices are; Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins, Delirium by Lauren Oliver or Sing me to Sleep by Angela Morrison.

Again, all four fabulous ladies...HAPPY BLOGOVERSARY to you guys!!!
ReplyDeleteDear Lisa,
Like Damaris, I am again in awe of how much I have in common with another of the Good Reading Fantastic Four (yes, I hereby dub you that!). Like you, I love winter - I can't the summer heat (and I've always lived in a relatively warm/sunny place),ugh! Outties freak me out as well, but I once had a boyfriend who didn't HAVE a belly button...like Kyle XY...yeah, like THAT!!! Lol :P Before u start freaking out that I dated an alien, he had am umbilical hernia as a child, and when they remedied his condition, they had to excise that part of his abdomen out -- still, even knowing that,it freaked me out a little! lol :P I belt the songs out in my car as well. The merry-go-round IS the ultimate representation of childhood & child-like innocence...plus,the music is always so soothing! :) And I drink DIET soda too. Initially,it was for the same reason as you...SO did not need the extra/unnecessary calories - but now I've acquired a taste for them, especially diet coke! :)
Thanks for sharing this interview with us, and opening up to us - and for your generosity! :)

I've attempted to cut my own hair as well! I must have been about six, and I had the fastest growing bangs in the world. One morning my mother was still asleep and I decided I had the ability to cut them straight enough. I didn't.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the contest!
