  2. One of my favorite quotes comes from Jane Austen's Persuasion, in which the hero, Captain Wentworth, writes to Anne Elliot, declaring his love with the words, "You pierce my soul." Gets me every time I read that.

But there are other roads to choose, they're just harder to trudge through. Changing the world is'nt easy, but I sure as hell am going to keep trying. Are you?" Simone Elkeles (Perfect Chemistry)

  8. So very generous. I definitely want to read this one. Here's one of my all-time fav quotes:

"Well, I’m not kissing the mundane," said Jace. "I’d rather stay down here and rot."

"Forever?" said Simon. "Forever’s an awfully long time."

Jace raised his eyebrows. "I knew it," he said. "You want to kiss me, don’t you?"

  23. Thank you SO very much for hosting this giveaway! I am SO psyched to see this movie - but I wish I'd read the book before I watch the movie! I'd love to win this and read the book...

    My favorite quote:

"And it is madness in all women to let a secret love kindle within them, which, if unreturned and unknown, must devour the life that feeds it; and, if discovered and responded to, must lead, ignis-fatuus-like, into miry wilds whence there is no extrication."
    — Charlotte Brontë (Jane Eyre)

and (sorry I couldn't resist adding this one!)

"I love you as certain dark things are loved,
secretly, between the shadow and the soul."
    - Pablo Neruda (100 Love Sonnets)

Hope I win! Good luck to all! :)

  25. This was one of my favorite lines from The Demon King by Cinda Williams Chima. I liked it so much that i put it on my sidebar as my quote.

Eventually, your story grew into a legend until you didn't know who you were anymore and what you were capable of. The Violent battle for turf, swag, and survival became addictive, so that school and family life seemed a dull backdrop for the adrnaline reality of the streets."

  26. I love this quote in Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen because it describes my feelings about books as well:
"I declare after all there is no enjoyment like reading! How much sooner one tires of any thing than of a book! -- When I have a house of my own, I shall be miserable if I have not an excellent library."

  29. "For once, he slept first. She lay in the dark, listening to him breathe, stealing a little of his warmth as her own body cooled. Since he was asleep, she stroked his hair.
'I love you,' she murmured. 'I love you so much, I'm stupid about it.'
With a sigh, she settled down, closed her eyes, and willed her mind to empty.
