Teaser Tuesday!

Teaser Tuesday" is a weekly meme hosted

by: Mizb of Should Be Reading.

Anyone can do it, here's how:

1. Grab your current read

2. Open to a random page

3. Share two (2) "teaser" sentences/paragraphs from somewhere on that page.

4. Share the title and the author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR lists if they like your teasers.

Be careful not to include SPOILERS! (Make sure that what you share doesn't give too much away, you don't want to ruin the book for others.)

Lauren Oliver
"Delirium"

Teaser pg. 146:
And God created the whole universe from an atom no bigger than thought.  Grace's life fell apart because of a single word: sympathizer. My world exploded because of a different word: Suicide.

Correction: that was the first time my world exploded.
The second time my world exploded, it was also because of a word. A word that worked its way out of my throat and danced onto and put out of my lips before I could think about it, or stop it.

The question was: Will you meet me tomorrow?
And the word was: Yes.

Andrea Cremer
"Nightshade"

Teaser Pg. 126:

"Don't cry, Calla." He was close again, touching my face, brushing away my tears. "You don't have to do this. I don't care who these keepers are. No one can have that much control over your life. It's crazy."

I glared at him, flashing sharp fangs.

"Listen to me, Shay." My words lashed out. "You are a fool. You know nothing. You understand nothing. Stay away from me."

Jill Shalvis
"Slow Heat" (Pacific Heat #2)

Teaser pg. 97:

Sam listened to the bolt on the bathroom slide home and resisted the urge to let out a half hysterical laugh. "Wade --"

"Do you remember what I said last night?" he asked. "What I need to hear from you?"

"Y-yes." God, listen to her stutter. With a low laugh, she tossed up her hands and faced the truth. "I want you. Dammit. I don't want to, but I do." She blew out a breath. "There are a thousand reasons why this is stupid, a million, but --"

    Nightshade sounds interesting.
And I am willing to bet the next thing in Slow Heat is a kissing scene... :)

  4. I've read Nightshade and wasn't as impressed as I had hoped to be. I've been waiting on Delirium for months now, so I hope when I finally get my hands on it, it doesn't let me down.

    Thank you for sharing! ♥
