REVIEW: LOGIC OF DEMONS BY H.A. GOODMAN

What would you do if the love of your life was murdered? Would you become a vigilante and seek retribution? And would this revenge affect those you care for in the afterlife? Logic of Demons: The Quest for Nadine's Soul takes you on a journey inside the psyches of men and women forced to deal with the spiritual consequences of their decisions.

Logic of Demons is definitely one of the most interesting and to put it mildy: weird books that I've read in a while. It deals with the idea of what's right and wrong and whether an eye for an eye is seen as okay in "God's" eyes. It's the idea of who gets to play God. Is it alright for me to be a murderer if I'm only killing other murderers? In this novel, there are arguments for both sides, and they're all actually quite convincing.

You know that image that everyone has when deciding to do something - the one where there's an angel on one shoulder and a devil on the other? Well, this novel takes that image so much further than you could even imagine. And the best part is that it does so without being too righteous, too preachy or too religious. Goodman's writing style is very relaxed and it feels like you're listening to someone tell a story rather than just reading it. You root for the good guys and hate the bad ones - all the good workings of a great novel.

The one qualm I did have with this novel, however, was the ending. I can't say too much without giving it away, but needless to say, I found it disappointing and almost like everything was cleaned up too neatly. If and when any one of our followers read this book, I'd love to hear your thoughts on it.

I would recommend this book because of its interesting and unique concept. Check it out and let me know your thoughts.

3 1/2 out of 5 stars.
