Review: Claiming the Legend by Janet Eaves

eBook Edition
Published January 29th 2011 by Turquoise Morning Press
For Lilly Peach staying alive means keeping a low profile, blending in, not being noticed. When she fears having been found by those contracted to kill her, Lilly is sent to a new "safe house" in Legend, Tennessee.

The pristine old fashioned streets and genteel southern hospitality of the town's folks eventually lull Lilly into believing, maybe, just maybe, she can settle in and make a safe and quiet life for
herself. But when Legend's nationally famous high school football coach decides to make her his lady, Lilly is thrown into the spotlight as well, giving those seeking to find and destroy her,
another chance to fulfill their contract.

This title is an ebook novella from the print book/anthology, Finding Home, by Janet Eaves, Magdalena Scott, Jan Scarbrough and Maddie James

This was a very fun and exciting short story to read.

Lilly is in hiding from her family and the hit man they sent out to kill her. She finds herself in a small town named "Legend" in Tennessee. There she attempts to start a new life and make new friends, but at the same time keeping a low profile. That becomes very hard for her though, when the town's popular and famous coach sets his eyes on her. They have an immediately draw to each other and can't help but want one another.

She knows she should keep her distance and not really draw any attention to herself, but with a hot coach like Jim, how can she? Lilly learns that living in a small town has it's down falls. There really isn't any secrets between the neighbors and the town knows all your business. Gossip is so much fun in Legend and quickly Lilly is put out there as Jim's lady. However, the attention Jim and Lilly receives also catches the eye of her enemies.

This was such a fun read. I wish I would have finished faster than I did, but of course life likes to get in the middle of my reading LOL. Claiming the Legend gives you a little bit of romance, mystery and suspense. You will be glued to the pages and at the edge of your seat waiting to find out what happens to Lilly. It also has a nice little twist in it that I promise you won't see coming at all.

4 out of 5 Stars!
