Expected publication:
March 5th 2013
by Farrar, Straus, & Giroux

The only thing worse than forgetting her past... is remembering it.

When Freedom Airlines flight 121 went down over the Pacific Ocean, no one ever expected to find survivors. Which is why the sixteen-year-old girl discovered floating among the wreckage—alive—is making headlines across the globe.

Even more strange is that her body is miraculously unharmed and she has no memories of boarding the plane. She has no memories of her life before the crash. She has no memories period. No one knows how she survived. No one knows why she wasn’t on the passenger manifest. And no one can explain why her DNA and fingerprints can’t be found in a single database in the world.

Crippled by a world she doesn’t know, plagued by abilities she doesn’t understand, and haunted by a looming threat she can’t remember, Seraphina struggles to piece together her forgotten past and discover who she really is. But with every clue only comes more questions. And she’s running out of time to answer them.

Her only hope is a strangely alluring boy who claims to know her from before the crash. Who claims they were in love. But can she really trust him? And will he be able to protect her from the people who have been making her forget?

From popular young adult author, Jessica Brody comes a mesmerizing and suspenseful new series, set in a world where science knows no boundaries, memories are manipulated, and true love can never be forgotten.

          My Review:

Have you ever read a blurb and right away you knew you had to read the book? Well with the blurb alone, Ms. Brody had me sold to the story. In Unremembered you get so much. You get a character that "survived" a plane crash and now no one knows her. She's Unremembered. No one is coming forward to find her. All but one boy. All main characters in this book was very likable. I enjoyed each one's page time. The author wrote this story so well, that even with it's twists and turns you won't get totally lost. This book was just sooo good.

So no one knows who "Violet" is. It's like she appeared out of thin air. Which leaves everyone puzzled. But that doesn't stop Violet from trying to figure out who she is. That's when she goes on the hunt to discover herself. And this is where the book becomes more interesting. Lucky for her she now has a foster brother who is willing to help her. Unlucky for him, because he gets in trouble for it. But together they go on the hunt for who is the real Violet. And when Zen (boy who knows her true identity) comes into the picture, awesomeness explodes on the page.

As the story progresses and new characters come into play. I ended up being really surprised when I discovered that this is a Sci-fi book. I totally missed it somehow. I am usually really picky when it comes to the Sci-fi genre. However it's a lite Sci-fi. Not too much. But this book was so good that I could not get enough of it. The big twist took me a minute to understand but I think that's because of my lack of Sci-fi book experience. However, once I understood which only took about three minutes, I understood everything. And the twist left me in awe. I was WOW-ed! This book was completely unpredictable. I couldn't guess not one thing. Which makes it even better. The ending was perfect and I can't wait for the next installment. I totally recommend this book to everyone. I give Unremembered 5 huge stars! And it's a definite Good Choice for Reading.

HIGH by Corey M.P. - Blog Tour/Interview + Giveaway! (Adult)

Sonja Fines is a thirty-year-old, uptight, sleep deprived, workaholic from Manhattan who hasn’t taken a day off in years. On a Friday before a Fourth of July weekend, she hops in a cab, late for an important presentation, but ends up in a coffee shop…in Montreal. Shocked by her sudden escape, she meets laid-back Chad Miller. They spend the next three days together, and quickly fall for each other. Sonja has never been happier. But when Chad suddenly reveals something from his past, Sonja flees in a hurry—and her life turns upside down. Overwhelmed with emotions, she embarks on a roller coaster of spontaneous decisions that change her life dramatically.

1. Tell us a little about yourself and your latest/upcoming release.

I’m a writer and a graphic designer from California. Aside from the release of my first contemporary novel, HIGH, I also recently created Sammy’s Books. Sammy’s Books is a collection of beginner titles for children under five years old. I also blog about writing at: coreymp.wordpress.com.

2. When did you realize that you wanted to become a writer? What was the very first thing you ever wrote?

I knew I wanted to become a writer after I wrote my first poem at fourteen years old.

3. Describe yourself in 3 words.

Dreamer. Driven. Dedicated.

4. What was your inspiration for the book?

The thought of escaping the norm was what gave me the idea to start
writing the novel. Love and coffee inspired me to finish it.

5. Who designed your cover?

Since my background is graphic design and since I wrote the novel, it felt
right to design my own book cover. I’ve been doing graphic design for ten
years and I must say, designing my book cover was the most fun design
job I’ve ever had.

6. If you could meet anyone and spend an hour with them alive or dead who and why?

Ernest Hemingway, without a doubt. Coffee with him for an hour at Café
de Flore in Paris would be a dream. The dedication he had for his craft
has always been an inspiration to me.

7. What scene was your favorite to write?

I loved writing the last few chapters of HIGH. There was something
extremely exciting and fulfilling about writing the resolution and conclusion
of the story—and then finally revealing the ending.

8. If you could pick a soundtrack to match your main characters life, what
would it be?

The Garden State soundtrack.

9. What are you working on now?

I’m currently working on my second novel, Hearts and Errors, which is
scheduled to release in June of this year.

10.What were some of your writing goals?

I want to keep writing novels that people can easily read but not easily
forget. I also have a few ideas for short stories, which I plan on publishing
in the next couple of years.
