For most of her teenage life, CeCe Edmonds has been dealing with the stares and the not-so-polite whispers that follow her around Edgelake High. So she has a large scar on her face—Harry Potter had one on his forehead and people still liked him.

CeCe never cared about her looks—until Emmett Brady, transfer student and football darling, becomes her literature critique partner. The only problem? Emmett isblindsided by Bryn DeNeuville, CeCe’s gorgeous and suddenly shy volleyball teammate.

Bryn asks CeCe to help her compose messages that’ll charm Emmett.CeCe isn’t sure there’s anything in his head worth charming but agrees anyway—she’s a sucker for a good romance. Unfortunately, the more messages she sends and the more they run into each other, the more she realizes there’s plenty in his head, from food to literature. Too bad Emmett seems to be falling for the wrong girl…

Disclaimer: This Entangled Teen Crush book involves one fiercely scarred girl who wants the new guy in town, the new guy who thinks he wants the new girl, and the new girl who really isn’t sure what she wants, and the misunderstanding that brings them all together. This modern Cyrano de Bergerac retelling will make you laugh, swoon, and fall in love.

Mini Review on GoodReads:

Yess!!! I needed this book! I've been reading a lot of fantasy and paranormal that I was starting to feel a little burned out. So happy I got the chance to read this one early. Not only is it written by one of my favorite authors, but it was exactly what I hoped for and more. Love Katie Ray's (Kacvinsky) books!

-----------

I want to be CeCe! She is so wild and free. She doesn't let her scar or the stares and whispers stop her. I mean, sure, they hurt, but she keeps on going and refuses to let it sink her. Her life starts to turn when Emmett enters the picture. All of a sudden she's met her match. They like the same books, music, are dorky in their own way, they are just perfect for each other. Only Emmett doesn't know it. He falls for the hot one and turns to CeCe for help on winning her over. Little does he know that all his late night emailing and texting is not with Bryn, but with CeCe. She was thrown into the role of Cupid and she played it a little too well. In the end, she ends up falling for Emmett, and she falls hard.

Aside from the romance, I couldn't help but fall in love with every single character in this book. Even the airhead. I loved their friendship with one another and how easy it was to relate to them. CeCe, to me, was the little leader. It was strange to read a novel about a girl battling with life turn out to be so brave and bold. Usually they are at rock bottom and you spend most of the book reading and waiting for her to snap out of it all. It's definitely a nice change. CeCe's attitude is contagious!

If you are looking for something quick to read filled with laughter, romance, friendship, and lots of exciting moments, definitely pick this one up! So worth it!!!

I cannot wait to see what comes next from Katie Ray!!!
