Day 12: Gabe got me to come to this party, and I’m actually having fun. I think he’s about to kiss me—and that’s when I see Patrick. My Patrick, who’s supposed to be clear across the country. My Patrick, who’s never going to forgive me.
99 days, is about a soon to be college freshman, who must return home for 99 days. Home hasn't been home for her in a long time because of a mess she created, and her adopted mother made so much worse.
The main character, Molly made me feel sorry for her, and dislike her all in one chapter. Molly's relationships throughout the book with her ex boyfriend, her friends, and adopted mother were all over the place. Her ex, Patrick was someone I was rooting for till about 2/3 of the book, then I just didn't care. I found it interesting that the author made sure each chapter was designated to each day of the 99 days...even if it's only a line or two for that day. I was hoping that this would have a happy ending, but it seemed Ms. Molly was a bit destructive. I was beyond surprised by a certain hookup between two characters. I love when a book can surprise me like that; Good job, Katie.
I think it will be a good read for young girls, who can relate to a back and forth feeling between two guys, and hopefully they could learn from Molly's mistakes.
I rate it: 2 Red Vines out of 5.

Sorry to hear you didn't really like this one. I read a book like that a while ago where I ended up really not liking the main character but still liking the guy, and then not caring because at all because the was all over the place. Nice review though :)
