Excerpt: Until July
“What the fuck is wrong with you.” The guy that was at the head of the group asks stepping in front of my bike.
I shake my head as words are lodged in my throat.
He pulls me off my bike and the men who are with him begin yelling obscenities as well.
“Sorry.” I croak out and I don’t even know if he hears me his hand goes to the collar of my leather jacket and he shakes me hard and my hand accidently presses down on the button for the Taser to ignite it. The loud crack fills the air and his eyes go wide then he falls to the ground and I fall on my ass and crab walk backwards then look up when I hit something only to meet the eyes of another man who looks pissed.
“Get up.” He growls picking me up my feet flail under me as I’m lifted off the ground with my hands restrained behind my back.
“Hold him still.” The guy who I had Tazered growls in front of me as I try to get away from the anger I feel coming off him. His hands go to my head and he rips my helmet off causing my hair to float down around me.
Complete silence descends I swear no one even takes a breath.
“Um.” I bite my lip.
I have been waiting for the kids. I adored the Until Series, so I was super excited when I learned the kids were getting their own BOOMS! There are a lot of them between the four Mayson Brothers, so I'm hoping there are many more stories to come.
The first in the Until Her series, is July Mayson. November and Asher's oldest daughter. I liked July, she's a strong female character. She's always wanted a man as strong as her dad, but she'd pretty much given up hope, then she meets Wes Silver. Honestly, I think Wes is a little more over the top than Asher was. He's definitely rougher, at least that's the impression I got. Make no mistake, though, July isn't like the women he's used to dealing with, and she lets him know it. They give each other a hard time, and neither are willing to roll over and let the other run all over them. I really enjoyed July and Wes's story. It's a love story about two strong willed, hard headed individuals loving each other, saving each other, and learning to deal with each other. If you enjoy an alpha male with a protective streak, and a woman that doesn't take any crap from anyone, then this is the story for you. I know I enjoy them.
This is July's BOOM. If you have read the Until series, then you understand what this means. If you haven't, I strongly suggest you read that series before starting the Until Her series. I loved the first series, and I'm hoping I continue to love the spin-off. Bravo Mrs. Reynolds!!
