YOU CAN BE A VII IF YOU GIVE EVERYTHING.

For Kitty Doe, it seems like an easy choice. She can either spend her life as a III in misery, looked down upon by the higher ranks and forced to leave the people she loves, or she can become a VII and join the most powerful family in the country.

If she says yes, Kitty will be Masked - surgically transformed into Lila Hart, the Prime Minister's niece, who died under mysterious circumstances. As a member of the Hart family, she will be famous. She will be adored. And for the first time, she will matter.

There's only one catch. She must also stop the rebellion that Lila secretly fostered, the same one that got her killed, and one Kitty believes in. Faced with threats, conspiracies and a life that's not her own, she must decide which path to choose and learn how to become more than a pawn in a twisted game she's only beginning to understand.

I love it when I discover a new author. Especially one that can tell a story like Aimee Carter. I honestly do not know what to say in this review besides that this book was PERFECT.

I started reading it right before bed and what a mistake that was. It quickly became one of those books where you stay up saying “one more chapter. Just one more chapter”. Yes, that was me until about three am. I had to force myself to go to sleep. I literally had dreams about the story. I went to bed thinking about Kitty Doe, and woke up thinking about Kitty Doe. I sat on the couch until I was done with the book. This book has EVERYTHING I like in a young adult.

Action: Yes.
Romance: Yes.
Suspense: Yes.
Betrayal: Yes.
Twist that gut you and make you want to scream: Yes.
Characters that you absolutely love and pray that the author doesn’t kill them off: Yes.
A plot that is believable and easy to visualize: Yes.

Do I really need to keep going? This book was all kinds of awesome and needs to be on everyone’s radar. It’s a MUST READ.

I will certainly be picking up Aimee Carters Goddess Test series!
