The dark secret Kayden has kept hidden for years is out. Worse, he's facing charges for battery. The only way he stands a chance against the charges is if Callie speaks up, something he'll never ask her to do.

Callie knows Kayden is going back to his dark place and desperately wants to save him. But saving him means admitting her secrets aloud. Callie and Kayden are stronger than they think, especially when they're together. Together they move forward, face their demons, and finally start to heal from their traumatic pasts.

The book picked up immediately where "The Coincidence of Callie & Kayden" left off. In the end of the last book Kayden was injured and this one starts off with Kayden hospitalized. And it starts off with Callie trying to see Kayden but they wouldn't allow her. She went through a lot not being able to communicate with him. This book was all about closure and not letting your demons overpower you. Lucky for Callie and Kayden they eventually found their way to each other again and together and were able to help each other out.

I liked when they finally got together. I understood their nervousness and their reason for walking on eggshells. Ms. Sorensen gave us a lot of Luke and Seth in this book. And I really loved their page time. I enjoyed everyone's character and loved what they brought to the book. But I must say that I'm extremely disappointed with how this book ended. Callie and Kayden struggled, they worked things out and then the book just ended. That's it, they found their closure and it ended. The ending definitely left it open for the next book in series which is about Luke. That definitely should be an interesting read.

"The Redemption of Callie & Kayden" was a good enough sequel. Could it had been better? I feel it could have, especially with the ending. But despite the ending, I did enjoy the book. I enjoyed the journey these friend embarked with one another. I loved the bond they all had and feel that because they had each other, they were able to get through the rough bumps on the road. I give this book a 3 stars!
