     I bought this book a while back and when I started reading, I had to put it down. Even though I knew what the book was about I still had to put it aside. The fact that she lost her daughter in this book was a bit emotional for me. A parent should never have to bury their children. I could never even go there to think of that. So right away, I knew it was going to be emotional.

     One thing that bothered me a bit was this story was written in third person. I had a bit of an issue with that at first. But I got use to it as the story progressed. I think the author being a male did a great job writing Jane's character perfectly. Her feelings and actions were very precise. I applaud him for that.

    Jane's Melody starts off with Jane burying her daughter and just going around feeling numb. And then she meets Caleb. ::Sigh:: Caleb is NOW my book boyfriend. He was so gentle and sweet towards Jane. He understood her pain and was there to help her with it. Caleb was just perfect for her. His personality, his patience and his love was exactly what Jane needed while she grieved the loss of her daughter.

     I really enjoyed the love they shared. It was sweet and very tender. Their intimate scenes were really steamy and hot. Definitely NOT trashy at all. The one things I was a little scared about was the age difference. I thought the author would make that into a big deal in the book but he didn't. Which I'm glad because it didn't get in the way of the beauty of their relationship. I wanted them to find comfort in one another and I definitely wanted them to stay in love.

     I did at one point read some spoilers because I was scared that they broke up. But what I did read was someone died, just not who it was. So when I did find out who did die in the book, I was struck by such sadness. I wasn't ready to lose that character and felt so hurt for Jane. Mr. Winfield really touched a few sensitive subjects very gently. He did an excellent job writing this story. He sucked in me into Jane's world and I'm so glad I was able to experience it. I give Jane's Melody a 4.5 stars and a definite Good Choice for Reading!
