It's been months since Aria last saw Perry. Months since Perry was named Blood Lord of the Tides, and Aria was charged with an impossible mission. Now, finally, they are about to be reunited. But their reunion is far from perfect. The Tides don't take kindly to Aria, a former Dweller. And with the worsening Aether storms threatening the tribe's precarious existence, Aria begins to fear that leaving Perry behind might be the only way to save them both.

Threatened by false friends, hidden enemies, and powerful temptations, Aria and Perry wonder, Can their love survive through the ever night?

In this second book in her spellbinding Under the Never Sky trilogy, Veronica Rossi combines fantasy and dystopian elements to create a captivating love story as perilous as it is unforgettable.

Under The Never Sky was a book that took me by surprise earlier this year and I am completely, utterly, in love with it. It was one of those books I jumped into reading without really knowing much about it or the author. Sometimes that’s the best thing to do. You find the best books/series this way.

When I got the chance to read an early copy of Through the Ever Night I was a little hesitant because lately some of the sequels to some of my favorite series have felt like a fill in. I just didn’t want anything to ruin Under the Never Sky for me. After reading the first chapter I knew immediately that it wasn’t just a fill in. Veronica Rossi planned this series out, and planned it out well! Aside from the world she sucks you into, the best thing about this series are the characters. They are believable and easy to picture. I found myself imagining what it would be like to be in Ari’s shoes. The connection I had with her in Under the Never Sky remains the same in this book.

The story progresses a lot, too, and takes a couple of turns. You think you know where it’s headed, but it ends up in a whole different direction. The characters also grow, as well as the romance between Perry and Ari. It was so nice seeing Perry in a different light. He was still the same, if not stronger and braver since he is now leader of his people, but you really get to see and feel what he does when it comes to Ari. Veronica Rossi didn’t take anything away from her characters. They still felt like the same characters from the first book, only better.

This is one of those series that you love so much and when asked why? All you can say is because it's good. Other than what I’ve mentioned above I really don’t know how to put into words how INCREDIBLE and BRILLIANT this series is. I just love it. It’s not a book you can just write a couple of things about without discussing spoilers so I am ending this review by saying this is DEFINITE, ABSOLUTELY, Good Choice for Reading. If you haven’t read the first in the series, Under the Never Sky, I recommend it and would love to know what you think. You won’t have a long wait for book two.

5 out of 5 stars!

  4. I'e had this book for over a week and I'm so worried about reading it for the exact same reasons you listed. I love UTNS so hard, and I'm worried TTEN won't live up to the first. Sigh.
