Camden Pike has been grief-stricken since his girlfriend, Viv, died. Viv was the last good thing in his life: helping him rebuild his identity after a career-ending football injury, picking up the pieces when his home life shattered, and healing his pain long after the meds wore off. And now, he’d give anything for one more glimpse of her. But when Cam makes a visit to the site of Viv’s deadly car accident, he sees some kind of apparition. And it isn’t Viv.

The apparition’s name is Nina, and she’s not a ghost. She’s a girl from a parallel world, and in this world, Viv is still alive. Cam can’t believe his wildest dreams have come true. All he can focus on is getting his girlfriend back, no matter the cost. But things are different in this other world: Viv and Cam have both made very different choices, things between them have changed in unexpected ways, and Viv isn’t the same girl he remembers. Nina is keeping some dangerous secrets, too, and the window between the worlds is shrinking every day. As Cam comes to terms with who this Viv has become and the part Nina played in his parallel story, he’s forced to choose—stay with Viv or let her go—before the window closes between them once and for all.

          My Review:

Through to you's blurb grabbed me right away. The blurb quickly makes me feel bad for Cam. Losing someone in one's life can be traumatizing but to lose them in an accident in which you were involved as well, it's scarring. When he loses his girlfriend, he loses himself too. Life isn't quite the same without Viv in it. His attitude and behavior dramatically has changed since he lost her. Basically he's self loathing, in my opinion.

But he gets a huge opportunity, sorta like a second chance at love when he enters this parallel world, where Viv is very much alive. What would you do if you were to come across a portal where your loved ones were still alive in this world? I would do exactly what Cam did, he took advantage of the situation by spending time with Viv. But sadly, Viv isn't the same Viv he fell in love with. And he quickly realizes why Nina (his best friend in this parallel world) keeps warning him that things aren't the same in her world.

Through to you was a fast read, entertaining but not a must read. The story is interesting but it's not amazing. In the beginning of the book, it was slow and a bit boring in my opinion. But since I really was intrigued by the whole concept of this portal world, I kept reading. I think Cam and Viv was a bit blah, nothing really exciting about them. I feel the most interesting person in this book is Nina, her story is sad and I wish I had the chance to get to know her a bit more. I liked her. I enjoyed the ending most of the whole book, where things change for Cam. I give this book a 3 stars and recommend it to those who enjoy the whole parallel concept.

  1. oh no, worst thing in book that centers around a couple is for the couple to be boring. But yea, this does sound good but I don't know about the whole parallel worlds

    great review

  2. I found this story to be really intriguing. While I may have wanted to have more 'information' I still was entranced by the characters. They made this book for me.

  3. Sounds interesting. 1) it's from a guys POV, and 2) parallel universe. Never can go wrong with that. :D

  6. I have been very excited about this book for a while now. I can't wait to get my hands on it. I'm kind of disappointed that you only gave it three stars, maybe I'll like it a little more. That parallel universe definitely interests me.

    Great review! Thanks for sharing.

  7. I'm actually not a huge fan of the whole parallel universe thing. Unraveling by Elizabeth Norris was pretty good on the concept, but it as also action-packed and had some romance that I really liked. I like the fact that it's from a guy's POV (or so it sounds), even if it's in third person or first. But I can already sniff out a love triangle... not good for me. Is it a series? Hm. Still sounds interesting though. I might give it a try. Thanks for the review!
