Brianna Paxton has been invisible to guys since the eighth grade. She's pretty enough, it's just that no one bothers to look. There's almost nothing that can't be explained with science, and Brianna has a theory: she's missing the pheromone that attracts people to one another. Brianna's theory is shot to hell in one frozen, silver moment, when time stops and Blake Williams not only sees her, he recognizes something inside her that she's been hiding from even herself.

Before Brianna fully understands who and what she is, she accidentally binds her soul to Blake. Forced to find a way to reconcile forbidden love and her bloody heritage, Brianna discovers that there's nothing pointless about her, and Blake may be in the most danger of all.

I think one of the things I loved most about Silver was that it wasn’t complicated. By this I mean, the story was very easy to follow and everything made perfect sense. I wasn’t confused about anything and really liked the way certain events went down. I think Talia Vance did a great job with her descriptions of things and bringing both, Blake and Brianna’s emotions to life.

I have to be honest and say that even though you can sort of connect with Blake and Brianna’s romance, to me it just wasn’t one hundred percent believable. It felt like it was forced only because of the bond. It’s not until near the end that I fell in love with these two as a couple. I enjoyed more the world Vance pulls you in and the characters personalities than I did the romance. I have a different blurb on my advance copy so when I jumped into the story, I was expecting something totally different and a very moving love story. This I did not get, but got a lot more of everything else so it balanced out. I was entertained and did like each and every character.

Each chapter has just enough action and reveals a little bit of what is going on to keep you glued to the pages. I was super curious to find out what was going to happen and how was Brianna going to fix her life that went from her being totally ignored and quiet, to this non-stop ride of betrayal, discoveries and love. One minute she is the girl that guys don’t notice or care to know, to a girl who was getting attention left and right. It was definitely a good story and I would love to read a second book to Brianna’s story. Silver was a change for me, and it felt good to read something that was different.

3.5 out of 5 stars!
