"I won't tell anyone, Echo. I promise." Noah tucked a curl behind my ear. It had been so long since someone touched me like he did. Why did it have to be Noah Hutchins? His dark brown eyes shifted to my covered arms. "You didn't do that-did you? It was done to you?" No one ever asked that question. They stared. They whispered. They laughed. But they never asked.

So wrong for each other...and yet so right.

No one knows what happened the night Echo Emerson went from popular girl with jock boyfriend to gossiped-about outsider with "freaky" scars on her arms. Even Echo can't remember the whole truth of that horrible night. All she knows is that she wants everything to go back to normal. But when Noah Hutchins, the smoking-hot, girl-using loner in the black leather jacket, explodes into her life with his tough attitude and surprising understanding, Echo's world shifts in ways she could never have imagined. They should have nothing in common. And with the secrets they both keep, being together is pretty much impossible.Yet the crazy attraction between them refuses to go away. And Echo has to ask herself just how far they can push the limits and what she'll risk for the one guy who might teach her how to love again.

          My Review:

I absolutely loved this story. It consumed me to the point I couldn't put it down. Pushing the Limits is an extremely well written story. Each character, though going through huge dilemmas presented themselves as strong individuals. In my opinion Noah and Echo were stronger together but they didn't show weakness while standing alone. Pushing The Limits had me at an emotional state of mind. I cried so much towards the end of the story. I felt each character's pain. I understood their drive to keep pushing for what they desire. Their longing and passion made me fall in love with them. And though I am so looking forward to McGarry's next novel "Dare You To", I can't help but feel that I won't love it as much as I love Pushing The Limits.

Like the blurb says : So wrong for each other, and yet so right. Echo is suffering from post traumatic stress disorder and Noah fighting to keep his family together. Both of their struggles is what pulls them together. Being there for one another is what makes them stronger as a couple. I absolutely love Noah, McGarry made me fall in love with him. He's just misunderstood which made me love him more. As for Echo, I felt sad for her. She's going through a lot at home and in school. And she struggles just to make it through the day.

Overall, this book was amazing. Everything was paced well, it wasn't instant love and that's a relief. Almost every other book I pick up, there's instant love. McGarry did an amazing job with Pushing the Limits. I recommend this book to everyone and anyone who enjoys a sweet tragic love story. A definite must buy must read. I give it 5 golden stars and a definite Good Choice for Reading.

  1. I want to read this book!! I've heard great comments about it. I'm not usually into romance, but I feel this would be the "guilty pleasure" kind of book :3

  2. I love that you point out that while Echo and Noah are strong together they are still individually strong - I don't think that is developed enough in books. Too many times characters rely on each other and cannot stand alone.

I'm actually currently reading PUSHING THE LIMITS right now - finally came up on my Kindle, and I am loving it so far. While it does remind me of PERFECT CHEMISTRY so far, I know there is a different and darker twist. I can't wait to finish it - hopefully will today :)

    Great Review!

    1. I can see how it would remind you a bit of it. But not so much. I think Perfect Chemistry was more intense. But I love both of them.

  8. This is the 2nd excellent review I have read about this book. It's time I put it on my goodreads list. I am writing a YA Contemporary right now, so this seems like a great book to read as a good example of a good YA read. Thanks for your review!

  10. I'm really anxious to read Pushing the Limits. I bought it and have it on my Fire Carosel, but haven't read it yet since I have s many books on my pile right now lol. 4 library books out and tons more on my carosel! I have paid attention to the reviews for this book. All them say it is really well written and that the characters problems and how they handle them is realistic. I really, really hope it lives up to the hype!
