It's been days since I've read Exiled, and still the main characters stick out to me like white on black. The story begins a bit emotional and exciting, and continues on from there. Exiled has a great plot that keeps you fixed on the pages. Every chapter had me entertained and I wanted to keep reading.

The main character Chase is exiled from his Circle because his elemental powers never came. They out casted him and treated him like pure trash. He was no longer allowed into their world. He leaves the circle, and for two years lives in the human world like he belongs there. Only Demons never stop hunting him because of who his father is. So every day he deals with the craziness of the Circle even though he isn't a part of it anymore.

It isn't until Chase meets Rayna that he learns the truth about his Circle and all the things that were kept hidden from him.

Every chapter in this book was action packed and had some kind of a good twist in it. I really liked that!

What I would have liked a little more of was, romance. I know something so simple, but you can feel the tension and chemistry between Rayna and Chase, only nothing really happens. So I felt a bit teased. But the way things ended in Exiled gives me a lot of hope for book two, Shift.

Exiled is a good opening for a series I can easily see becoming big! Merrick has a great story here to be told and I am going to read every book.
