Wanda's Book Expo of America Experience

My experience at this year's 2012 Book Expo of America was really good one this year. I had my GCR girls with me and my other blogger friends too, so I was ready to hit the walkway at the Javits Center. Sadly I didn't take as many pictures as my co-bloggers. But I will share with you the few that I did take.

My first stop at BEA was at the Simon & Schuster Blogger party. That was a lot of fun. The party was located at a really nice cocktail place. They had waiters (all were sexy) walking around with appetizers and there was an open bar. I met a lot of wonderful authors. Jenny Han was interviewing a few YA authors and she was hilarious. Jenny had the whole room laughing. They had raffles with some fabulous prizes. Overall, this was a wonderful night.

This is Maria and me. It's not one of my favorites because it's so close up. But it's the only one we have together.

Jenny Han here is interviewing Lenore Appelhans, author of Level 2.

Here's Jenny with Shannon Messenger, author of "Let the sky fall".

Random House is one of my next stops.
Here are a few photos I took.

At the Random House Breakfast, we were lucky enough to meet the gorgeous Nate Berkus. Who doesn't want to stare into the eyes of that man.

Here's Nate talking about his novel called "The things that matter"

While at BEA, I chatted up with a few bloggers. And I got to know one of them on a friend to friend basis. So that was really nice and unexpected. This year at BEA, I felt it was a lot more organized than last year and I didn't hear about any chaos like last year either. It went by really smooth. I got to meet a few authors and speak with them. That was really exciting. I didn't take a lot of pictures because my hands always had something in them. But here's what I did take.

This is the beautiful Susan Mallery and myself. Susan is one of my favorite adult romance authors. If you haven't checked her out then I think you should.

The sweet & lovely Cara Lynn Schultz.

    1. I wish I can attend ALA. There are some books that ALA have that BEA doesn't.
