Your heart misleads you. That's what my friends and family say. But I love Noah. And he loves me. We met and fell in love in the sleepy farming community of Meadowview, while we rode our horses together through the grassy fields and in those moments in each other's arms. It should be ROSE & NOAH forever, easy. But it won't be. Because he's Amish. And I'm not.

Temptation was a very interesting read. This is the first time that I really don't know what to rate a book. I enjoyed Temptation, but I did find certain parts of it to be unrealistic and rushed.

I really enjoyed the fact that Hopkins combined two different worlds and easily turned it into one in the book. Noah is Amish and Rose is not. So you can only imagine how hard it was for these two to fall in love.

I think one of the reasons I enjoyed Temptation enough to finish reading it is the fact that Hopkins pulls you into Noah’s world and I found it very interesting how an Amish community lives. I was very curious to see how Noah’s and Rose relationship would play out. I am not in love with the story, but it was entertaining enough for me to finish the entire book.

I just had an issue with the way Noah could be so romantic and nice and the next a bit controlling and demanding. Rose comes off as a strong girl who lives life to fullest and takes no crap from anyone, but when it comes to Noah she's practically becomes his little puppet. This bothered me because she didn’t feel consistent to me. I wasn’t sure about Rose’s character. The ending was a nice ending, but I saw it coming from about chapter five. And when I mentioned “rushed” earlier is because their romance blossoms very quickly. I believe from like chapter two.

Other than that though there is a story here that is interesting enough to keep you turning the pages. Just little minor things that I feel needed some more time and more explaining.

There is going to be a second part to the book and I think I will read it. I am curious to find out what happens next.

3 out of 5 stars!

    1. I was so annoyed with Rose's character the most. I couldn't keep up with her. She was either a push over, or kick ass. Not just one. LOL
