Blog Tour: Tempest Unleashed by Tracy Deebs -- Guest Post!

First off, I want to say thanks so much for having me today J

Because Tempest Unleashed—with its surfing and mermaids and extended scenes on the beach and in the ocean—is the quintessential summer book, I thought I’d blog today about what I consider the top 10 Summer Songs of all time.  Some of them you may know all the words to and some of them you may never have heard of, but for me, nothing says summer like a playlist of these songs J

10.  Cruel Summer from Bananarama
9. All Summer Long from Kid Rock
8. Summer Love from Justin Timberlake
7. Suddenly Last Summer from The Motes
6. Summer Nights from John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John
5. California Girls from The Beach Boys
4. The Boys of Summer from Don Henley
3. Margaritaville from Jimmy Buffet
2. Smooth from Santana featuring Rob Thomas
1. Summertime from DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince (yes, Will Smith did my absolute favorite summer song!)

So, how about you?  What song says summer to you?

About Tempest Unleashed

Hardcover; 352 pages
Published June 5, 2012
Goodreads | Amazon
Tempest Maguire is happy with her decision to embrace her mermaid nature and live among her mother’s clan within the ocean’s depths. Even though training to one day ascend the throne for the aging mermaid queen is rigorous, she finds refuge in the arms of Kona, the selkie who first opened her up to her mermaid side. But when word comes that one of her brothers has been gravely injured on land, Tempest immediately rushes to his side—which also brings her back to her old flame, Mark. And in her absence, a deadly battle begins raging at the hands of Tempest’s old nemesis, the sea witch Tiamat. As the dangerous war erupts, Tempest’s two loves—Kona and Mark, sea and land—will collide for the first time, both to protect her and to force her to choose.

  1. Oh, girl, how I love your Summer Soundtrack! With the exception of Mr. Timberlake's song, which I am ashamed to say I have never heard, the rest of the songs totally scream summer is here!, Enjoy the heck out of me! Thanks to Tracy Deebs for her fantastic soundtrack and books, and thanks to you guys at G.C.R for having her! That is one of the reasons I love your blog!

  2. Tempest said goodbye to her old life in order to accept her mermaid half and join Kona along with her destiny under the sea. She's the one prophesized to save everyone from the evil sea witch Tiamat. If that wasn't pressure enough, she's also being groomed to take over for the Queen when the time comes.
