Strike One
Xavier is a jerk with a capital A.S.S. and he offers no apologies. If a woman is willing to give, he’ll gladly take, walking away without a backward glance. He’s not looking for commitment and the only diamond he’s interested in has three bases and a home plate.
Strike Two
Dr. Frances Holden knows all about fixing broken bones and taming arrogant athletes. As the Team Doctor for the Las Vegas Rockets she deals with stubborn ballplayers every day. But nobody is more stubborn than Left Fielder Matthias Xavier III.
Strike Three
When a shoulder injury takes Xavier out of the game, it’s Frankie’s job to get him back on the diamond. His rehab turns out to be more than either of them bargained for, and when she promises to help him face his scarred past, neither of them are prepared for the fireworks that come Out of Left Field and threaten to scorch them both.
My Review
Yet another home run for Morgan Kearns. Every time Morgan sends me a book, I am certain that I'm going to enjoy it. From Fade to Black to In it to win it to Heart Ache and now Out of Left Field, Morgan has never failed me. She goes the extra mile to make sure her novels are a work of perfection. And with each new novel she keeps getting better and better.
Xavier is your typical jock. He's cocky and arrogant yet a big baby. Like every single man I know, Xavier became a baby when he got injured on the baseball field. Dr. Frankie Holden (Real name Frances) is a strong, educated woman that doesn't back down from a challenge. Her challenge is to make sure Xavier heals nicely. Together they make this book hot with sexual tension. But there's more to this novel besides sparks flying everywhere. In this novel you learn about each character past and their reason for being who they are today.
Out of Left Field has the perfect mix of love and drama. I'm actually a little surprised at how sexy this book is because I've known Morgan for some time now and I know she's a bit uncomfortable writing sexy scenes. So kudos to you for stepping out of your element. I recommend this book to anyone and everyone who enjoys a love story. Out of Left Field is a 5 stars for sure and a definite Good Choice for Reading!!
Xavier sounds like one of those guys I might need to find out more about. Kinda like the cocky guy that doesn't think he needs a women till he does. Gonna check it out. Thanks for sharing.
