To the rest of the town, Lord and Lady Atwood seem to have the perfect marriage. They wed for love and their marriage bed doesn't lack for passion—but Imogen is haunted by the memory of her first marriage…while Charles harbors secret thoughts and desires he's been unable to confess to his wife.

Then Charles's ex-lover, Alexander Lambert, arrives in town, throwing Charles into a tailspin—and awakening a surprising attraction in Imogen. Now, both have to face the possibility that they may need more than just each other to be truly complete…

This was a sexy new twist on a threesome to me. Again I am not a big fan of M/M but this was done really erotically. I found I quite enjoyed even the M/M scenes since there was a woman between them.

Imogen is a wild woman who knows how to please her man! Charles is known as cold until he meets Imogen, but together they complete each other. Feeling the loss from missing communication during her first marriage, Imogen is sure to not make the same mistake twice.

Once Alex comes back to town Charles can't hide his true feelings any longer. Charles scared of admitting the truth knows he must to please Imogen and keep her trusting him. I love how Imogen is so sensitive to Charles yet demanding she makes Charles open up and express his feelings to her.

With a very steamy erotic love scene, I wanted to read more! I really loved how it all can together and how they all opened up to what they are all feeling. In the end I think they all found what makes them happy. A short story to read just before going to bed, I truly enjoyed it!

  2. I've never read anything in this historical genre, it seems like there's a lot of character development.
