I loved reading A Perfect Storm. The characters were great with their own distinct personalities. It was awesome to have such a bad a$$ female heroine, as well as, a tough male hero. I feel they balanced each other out.

Arizona Storm is no shrinking violet. True, she was dealt a bad hand in life, but she tries not to let that define her as a victim. She wants no ones pity and she always feels she needs to prove herself to people. Because of her past Arizona has major trust issues even with those people closest to her. She doesn't allow herself to set down roots because she always feels she doesn't fit in and doesn't deserve to be cared for.

Spencer Lark is a Bounty Hunter who is great at what he does. From the moment his path crossed Arizona's he has felt this need to try and "fix" what he feels may be broken with her. Since the death of his wife Spencer hasn't let himself get close to a woman emotionally. He feels he can love no other woman the way he loved his deceased wife. Unbeknownst to him, he starts to fall a$$ over tea kettle in love with Arizona. He has always believed that she was too young for him, but the more time he spends with her the more he doesn't want to let her go and age becomes nothing but a number..

In between this great love story you get a glimpse of the dark and sinister world of human trafficking. Arizona makes it her personal mission to rid the world of those vile people. Spencer wants to help put those guys out of business for good but he doesn't agree with using Arizona as bait to do it. That causes some tension between Arizona and her surrogate family.

I actually had a "damn" moment towards the end of this book. A Perfect Storm had some other really great things happening but I don't want to ruin the story for anyone. The only thing that had me going huh, was that when I started reading this book I had no idea that this was book 4 in a series. When I first started reading this book a few times I kept feeling like I was missing something when it came to the characters camaraderie. It wasn't enough of a factor to change my opinion of this book. On a scale from 1-10 I give A Perfect Storm a 10. It was a great story with strong characters. If you are looking for great kick a$$ characters, scummy lowlifes, undeniably chemistry, and just a great story then A Perfect Storm is the book for you. Everyone adult 18+ needs to run out and pick themselves up a copy. While you are picking up A Perfect Storm, if you don't already have them, you should also pick up When You Dare (book #1), Trace Of Fever (book 2), Savor The Danger (book 3), and The Guy Next Door (which has book 0.5 in it). Let Spencer and Arizona guide you through their Perfect Storm.
