What happens when you are stalked by Death? You fall in
love with him of course. Pagan Moore doesn’t cheat Death, instead, she falls in love with him.

Seventeen year old Pagan Moore, has seen souls her entire life. Once she realized the strangers she often saw walking through walls were not visible to anyone else, she started ignoring them. If she didn’t let them know she could see them, they left her alone. Until she steps out of her car on the first day of school and sees an incredibly sexy guy lounging on a picnic table, watching her with an amused smirk on his face. Problem is, she knows he's dead. Not only does he not go away, when she ignores him he does something none of the others have ever done; he speaks. Pagan is fascinated by the soul. What Pagan doesn’t realize is that her appointed time to die is drawing near and the wickedly beautiful soul she is falling in love with is not a soul. He is Death and he is about to break all the rules.

This is the second book I've read by Abbi Glines and definitely won't be my last. I loved her book, The Vincent Boys, and now Existence

Pagan can see the dead and she has no idea how, or why she can see them. She does her best to ignore them and act as if they aren’t there. But when she spots this boy one morning and he speaks to her, she is taken by surprise. Never has any of the dead try to talk to her. She is intrigued by him, but what she doesn’t know is that he isn’t your average spirit. He’s really Death and is there to collect her soul. The more time she spends with him though, the more she begins to fall in love with him. The same thing is happening to him. When it’s Pagan’s time to go, Dank (aka Death) changes everything and breaks the rules. He saves Pagan and by doing this he sets off a lot of things. The story just got better and better from there.

I will say that at first I wasn’t big on Dank and Pagan’s relationship. I just didn’t “feel” it. I actually enjoyed Pagan’s relationship with Leif a bit more. I thought Leif was sexy and his cocky attitude was hot. The way he loved Pagan was also really sweet and a bit romantic. I mean Dank was very dark and mysterious and also a bit cocky, but I felt Pagan spent a lot more time with Leif, so I fell in love with their relationship a little more. The scenes between Dank and Pagan though, were very yummy and fun to read, but to me they just needed a little more. It wasn’t until close to the end of the book that I really got a feel for Dank and Pagan. The ending was a nice shocker. With the way the book ended I wanted to scream, but in a good way of course. I have to know what exactly Dank meant. I was wondering just how Pagan was going to choose and how she would handle everything once the truth came out. She goes through so much and part of it is due to Dank. I just felt so bad for her.

Existence is a very good book and held my attention until the very end. Abbi Glines is now on my auto-buy list. I really enjoyed it!

4 out of 5 Stars!
