Review: Unveiled by Trisha Wolfe

UNVEILED by Trisha Wolfe
ebook

Amongst the wasteland lies the gleaming city of Karm. A Camelot-esque utopia built from the ashes of a dying world.

Seventeen-year-old Fallon is no daughter of Karm.

She's its assassin.

Raised by a secret society of rebels, she's bent on bringing down the king's sham of an existence. But her first mark, one of the king's top knights of the Force, makes her question everything. Even her heart.

Unveiled is a short dystopian story. I am actually shocked at how small the book is, but yet it's jammed packed with awesomeness. It has everything and more you would expect from a Dystopian novel. You would think from looking at the cover that it takes place back in like the 1800's, but it actually takes place in the year 2130. The world has been destroyed by a war and Fallon and her people now live behind a barrier that keeps them hidden and everyone is taught to act like it’s the 1800's. Fallon is a rebel. She is trained to fight and kill. Only she questions everything and always has a slight doubt about things. When she is sent to kill one of the King's knights without an explanation, she doesn't hesitate to take the job. Only when she meets him for the first time she can't help but wonder why they want him dead. After having one conversation with him she realizes he thinks and wants almost the same things as her.

After that it just gets even crazier and more exciting. I really wish this story was 300 to 400 pages long. It was just great in every way and I want more. One of the good things about a story being so short is that it gets right to the point and Trisha Wolfe did just that. I also really liked the romance between the two main characters. I was worried with it being such a short story that it would be rushed or that I wouldn't feel any chemistry between them, but there is lots of chemistry and their relationship moved at a very good pace.

Unveiled is a great story if you want to read something quick and super entertaining. I am now a fan of Trisha Wolfe and can't wait to read some more of books.

5 out of 5 stars
