THURSDAY'S QUESTION OF THE DAY

So, recently, I noticed that some of my absolute favorite books also happen to be really short! Well...short to me is only about 100 pages or so, lol. The book I am currently reading, Blood (which is really good, by the way) has about 250 pgs, so I think that's pretty typical.

But I started to wonder...when was the last time I sat down and read a really long book? I think, for me, it was Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. And I probably read it in about a day, lol.

Today's Question of the Day: What is the longest book you've ever read? And how long did it take you to read it?

LET ME KNOW!!!!

  10. The re-released full version of The Stand by Stephen King - I think it was over 1000 pages. I'm thinking it took me over a week, but that was in the summer back in college I was working and had a boyfriend, so you know not much time. I have much more time with work and a family ;)

  11. The Wheel of Time series first book. Was 814 pages. Took me two weeks to read not because it was to long, but that it was freaking slow and boring. Ugh! :P

  12. I read Atlas Shrugged a couple of years ago. Weighing in at 1168 pages, it is the longest book I've read. I finished it in about a month, it can be quite philosophical.

The Sword of Truth book #2 (Stone of Tears) was 979 pages.

  13. The longest book I've read would be A Suitable Boy by Vikram Seth (1350 pages). I can't remember how long it took me.

Right now I'm reading A Clash of Kings by George R.R. Martin and it's 1000 pages. It's taking me longer because I keep reading other books in between.
