The Hematoi descend from the unions of gods and mortals, and the children of two Hematoi-pure-bloods-have godlike powers. Children of Hematoi and mortals-well, not so much. Half-bloods only have two options: become trained Sentinels who hunt and kill daimons or become servants in the homes of the pures.Seventeen-year-old Alexandria would rather risk her life fighting than waste it scrubbing toilets, but she may end up slumming it anyway. There are several rules that students at the Covenant must follow. Alex has problems with them all, but especially rule #1:Relationships between pures and halfs are forbidden.Unfortunately, she's crushing hard on the totally hot pure-blood Aiden. But falling for Aiden isn't her biggest problem--staying alive long enough to graduate the Covenant and become a Sentinel is. If she fails in her duty, she faces a future worse than death or slavery: being turned into a daimon, and being hunted by Aiden. And that would kind of suck.

Okay, can I just scream for a minute? This book was amazing! No seriously, can I? AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! The End.

I wish I knew where to begin, but there really isn’t much I can say besides that THIS IS DEFINITELY A BOOK TO ADD TO YOUR To-Be-Read pile! It was so good! From the beginning to the end! Okay, maybe I should stop yelling now.

Poor Alex returns to her covenant with so many questions. She has lost her mother; no one is really telling her what is really going on. The only thing she does know is that she must continue her training because if she doesn’t then life won’t be so good for her. I don’t want to give anything away, but let’s just say that in her world, it isn’t pretty where she could end up. Aiden is her trainer and her crush. Working with him will be easy and fun right? Yeah, guess again. Not only is Aiden a pure and Alex is a half-blood, and that makes the chances for anything possible between the two ZERO, but Aiden is also one of the best trainers and he has to get her in shape and fast and he doesn’t go easy on her. Alex also has a problem with following rules and keeping her mouth shut. This is something I loved the most about her.  She either had me laughing out loud or screaming O-M-G they are going to kill her for that. I was very entertained.

When things start to be revealed, it is one heck of a roller coaster ride. Jennifer L. Armentrout will pull you into a world like you’ve never read before. Half-Blood is a very unique story with a great ending. A Must read!

5 out of 5 Stars!

  3. There will be ARCs. Contact Kate Kaynak at Spencer Hill Press. That is her publisher. I know she'll have arcs out. :)

I liked Half Blood but I have to say that I like Seth better than Aidan.
