Last night Cassandra Clare announced on Twitter that the part of Jace Wayland has been filled. Guess who? Not Alex Pettyfer :-(. Even though we all had high hopes that he would play the part, we also knew there was a big chance he wasn't getting the part. Especially lately after his little break down and all the stuff going on with him.
I like him as an actor, but as far as playing Jace, I am not so sure I am happy. He has the looks, but can he really pull Jace Wayland off? Guess we have to wait til the movie to find out. He better work his butt off. This isn't Twilight LOL. I am going to think positive though because I've seen some of his stuff and he's a pretty good actor.
What do you guys think about Jamie playing Jace?
So, I totally didn't get this casting choice. When I first found out, I was like "WHAT?!" and I cried a little inside. Then, I watched a clip of him in "Camelot" and I was like, "Oh. I get it," and now I'm not as sad. He is much more attractive in motion and his demeanor is similar to Jace!

I agree. Like I said, he is a good actor so I am thinking positive. I think he'll pull it off.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad it isn't Alex. He's been in too many book to movie adaptations (Beastly, I am Number Four, Stormbreaker) recently and I think he's overrated anyway.
